Forza Horizon 2 Cinematic

Hey guys, so I wanted to make a build video with cinematic but I don’t know how to do it xD I have an Elgato and all that jazz. On an Xbox One by the way. Is it possible to do from one person or will I need to get more people? Also, if anyone wants to do a meet please say c:

I made quite a bit of cinematic videos since Forza 4, and it’s pretty simple. Focus on using the music as the driving force for your clips. If you want to go atmospheric then focus on the environments. If you want an action cinematic go for a faster song and just pulls stunts everywhere. Regarding more people, it’s not really necessary unless you want to. All of my cinematics were done solo.

Thanks dude but I meant like how do I get the footage. Is there a video capture for cinematics? Do you have to do it in races? I don’t know man haha

Take a look around here in the Media Center forum: http://forums.forza.net/turn10_topics69_Media-Center.aspx

Had a look man, I just need to know how to get the shots of the cars haha. Remember that it’s a video not photo.

I believe you have to use the XBO native DVR function: http://support.xbox.com/en-AU/xbox-one/apps/upload-game-dvr

Google something like xbox one video capture, you’ll find plenty of info out there.

Is there a cinematic mode or do I just record me driving the car?

You’ll want to proceed one step at a time - experiment with the steps one at a time until you’ve perfected each to your satisfaction.

First thing will be to experiment with the camera angles you have in race replay - when you finish your race hit the Y button to Watch Replay.

Here’s a YouTube tutorial on camera angles: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L-UCHgaF5Os

When you’ve got some experience with replay and camera angles you can start to experiment with the XBO DVR function. As has been noted the maximum recording length is five minutes, but keep in mind these recordings will be large both for storage on your HDD and for uploading to the Upload Studio, so do small experiments until you master the different factors.

Keep it simple until you’ve figured out how all the bits fit together.

I know exactly what your asking does Horizon 2 have an in game recorder like other Forza racin games to make cinematic clips, the answer is yes and no. In single player after a race event you can watch a replay of the race and select different camera views but lack dedicated cameras for drive byes like regular Forza and they can not be saved for editing either you’ll have to use the built in game dvr on your console to record. The other option for on the fly moments outside of official races is using the rewind button to capture the moment you want to record the select replay to go into the replay view and pick the angle you want to record. There is no replay function for multiplayer however.

Keep in mind that the XB1’s Game DVR will only record up to 5 minutes worth of video at one time.
