Hi all, first of all, aplogies for posting here in the FH3 section - unfortunately I was not able to find the section for FH1 (assuming to old) but I have a Problem where you probably can help me out: I bought the XBox360 some month ago (don’t ask me why and bought also the FH1 on disc. The only car that I wanted to drive was the Lamborghini Sesto Elemento (that is not available in FH3, unfortunately). This car didn’t showed up in the selection. Only on the street as the famous “Gonzales”. I found out that in the VIP package the car would be available and bought the game the second time, entered the VIP code and now I’m receiving an error that the XBox marktplace was not able to download the XBox live Marketplace data and asked to try again later. Well, this never changed. In contact with the XBox live support they checked the credentials and indicated a reboot of the box . Unfortunately, I still have the same issue and the recommended me to open here a threat. Another strange this is, if want to select another car, it shows as “purchased” but I cannot drive it and it’s Redirect me to the download that I already did.
Can somebody help me? (Sorry again for posting in the wrong section)
Wow, very good news! That means that I Need to by the console and the game (the third one what I will probably do ) Any other idea regarding the Marketplace?
I activated my VIP last week and this is one of the few things that actually works like it is suppose to (unlike the season pass). So, in theory, it should work for you too. Do you get the error only, when you are trying to download the VIP pass from the market, or you get error messages with other games/updates as well? Do you use Wifi or wired connection? Maybe try to hook up the net cable directly (without it going through the router that might be too eager to stop some network traffic) to your Xbox.
HI andrOOrdna , thanxs a lot for your feedback, means the hope is not lost Yes, the box is connected through the cable and I see all the packages in the download section and can download it as many times I want (but the Progress bar jumps from 5% directly to 100%). Below, there is a selection “Play now” and by pushing this, it says it can be activated only during the game. In the game, if I go to the market place, section car packages, I click on the DLC package (labeled as “bought”) and I see the new cars (also labeled as “bought”) but cannot select them. Evenmore, I do not see any VIP Symbol there. BTW: I also deleted any cache on the box that I was able to delete… I start now really to doubt if I’m doing everything as I should - do I Need to activate anything else in the game to be able to drive the Sesto Elemento? thanxs a lot!
Before entering the game, check your “storage” menu and inside the Forza Horizon folder should be a file named “VIP and car pack” or something with the size of 48MB.
You deleted cache files, but did you also tried to uninstall and install the game again (in other words: Have you tried turning it off and on again :D)?
There’s no relation. There’s also a file inside Forza Horizon in your storage menu saying “save file” or something. You don’t need to delete this.
It belongs to your gamertag and when you launch the game with this inside a storage device, it loads.
Note: You cannot COPY this file, but you can MOVE it to a flash drive or whatever.
Why you make it sound so complicated? What exactly is your problem? Check storage and read the description of the files.

well, with the uninstall I will risk to loose all the other cars, right? Don’t wanna do that, honestly
