Forza GT Multi-class changes needed *ASAP*

Keep dreaming, pal.

Many series have been unbalanced or broken for a while. They keep releasing them with the same balancing issues over and over again.

I’m guessing this is a test run to see feedback on whether this would be a good idea to replace the current alternating GT2/GT3, and also get GT4 back in the mix.

I’m not particularly a fan. The IMSA/WEC GTE/GT3 split was basically about Pro vs Amateur driver teams. Nearly 3 hour races as opposed to the 20-30 minute ones in Forza. It didn’t make sense to me to make a GT2/GT3 multiclass on Forza.

And GT4 is still undercooked. They need about 3-4 recognizeable GT4 cars in that class with a total rebalance. The return of the Caymen, Mclaren 570 GT4, Mustang GT4, Supra GT4, and of course the GT4 versions of the BMW, Aston, and Merc are all options. Plus they need to fix timed events to finish the current lap and to be able to see sector times. Then I’d be all for including GT4 as an option alongside the GT2/GT3 class, but not all 3 together.

Currently IMSA has GTD and GTD Pro, which are both GT3 classes. Their GTE equivalent was GTLM and they had more downforce and horsepower than the GT3-based GTD class.

I’m aware of that. There wasn’t a massive difference in lap times, but enough over a long race the GTEs would reliably have to lap the GT3s. Probably about a reliable 2-3 seconds a lap. They are closer in Forza. I don’t see the point of them being together here.

Also, GT4s are way too close in lap time to the GT2/GT3s with the way they are balanced now. They oddly have more cornering capability than the GT2/3s, because they are balanced off the fwd Audi TT which for some reason they insist on shoehorning into the GT class.

The classes are so well balanced that the overall top three are from three differenct classes! (Look at total distance driven)

The line at the top of my comment is not serious. The GT2/E and GT3 being close makes sense, but to get overall third in a GT4 car should not be possible. The Huracan and NSX in fourth and fifth only made some minor mistakes due to a wet track, but not enough to offset what the speed difference against a GT4 should be.

The idea of this multiclass is great, the application not. Eliminate one of or combine the GT2/E and GT3 classes and revisit the balance on the GT4 cars as they are way to close to the other cars in terms of pace (matching lap times).

I’ve won multiple overall races in the Ginetta. The reason is that overall pace outside of speed tracks is not that much. The GT4s only lag about 1.5 seconds a lap off the other GTs and have better tire wear making no stoppers easy. The reason for the GT4s pace is that they have way more grip than the other GT classes. They are like mini-prototypes, except tons of grip at low speed too. Their acceleration is not so bad comapred to the other GTs as well until you get into the higher speeds. Out of low speed corners, their acceleration might even be better.

The reason for this is that they balanced the class around the Audi TT, which has tons of grip from downforce. It’s not even close to a GT4 and really doesn’t belong in any GT class. But they needed more than 2 cars for it, so here we are with 3 cars that don’t currently run in any high profile GT4 class today.

This has to be one of the weirdest playlists ever. Being held up by GT3 and GT2 cars in a GT4 Ginetta. Shows that racing licences are needed.

Had a chance to finally try this out today and you guys aren’t kidding.

Hopped into a wet Barcelona race and decided to use the KTM… was bullying the 911 in first place due to the grip and wear deltas.

And yet they decided that the non GT4 car would be the baseline for the BoP instead of the other way around. It’s silly.

That’s T10 for ya, seems the recent lot compared to back in the day have no clue what they’re doing. :joy:

Why they can’t just hire an advisor to help with structure and race series is beyond me. Instead they focus on photo realistic graphics when they should be focused on cars, tracks and series. Seen as Horizon is now the face of Forza, have that the game that looks pretty we don’t need to see tracks and their surroundings look pretty when we’ll be pelting around the track at hundreds mph :man_facepalming:

Okay, I feel guilty in saying this, but this has provided the most entertaining racing I’ve had to date. The mix between grip and power is what I wish open classes felt like.

The KTM’s my dawg.

I’ve never seen so many ā€œgood race!ā€s spammed by me and the competitors

Is it balanced? No. Is it fun? Most definitely.

Had to share.

The GT4s are only slightly slower, but are basically prototypes in the corners. So much grip, significantly more than the other GTs.

Yep. Baby prototype sounds about right to me.

Was only about a 1.5-2s off GT2 pace on Spa.

Welp, sad this hopper is gone

Topic made for this to change:

With the Forza TC BoP having been reset and redone with update 17, I don’t think this is undoable. Just needs some votes to show people are agreeing with it.
