Hey everyone, welcome to Forza Drift Allstars’ (FDA) FM.net HQ thread. Here is where you can catch up on any updates with the FDA Organization & Drifting Competition Community. Because of the nature of our new competition format, we’ve had to move all operations to our own forum, which you can join via the link provided later on down in this thread.

Overview
After two years worth of development and experimentation, FDA is proud to bring together one of the largest endeavors in competitive drifting, taking the known tricks of the trade and implementing them within a system to replicate (or come as close to replicating as possible) the competitive drifting community and atmosphere in the real world. This includes but is not limited to; region-based Pro-AM competitions to earn the right to compete in the Pro Series, service shops sponsoring drivers and teams willing to lend a hand at events, and public track days and “bashes” to chill out and drift for fun. FDA has now over 130 registered drivers with almost 100 fighting for the top spots in their regions and eventually at the Pro level.

The Pro Series
When all is said and done with Pro-AM competition, the top drivers from each region will join the top 25 drivers from last year’s season (previously known as DMA Allstars), and fight for the title of Forza Drift Allstars Champion. The Pro Series will be starting in the Summer and will last 8 rounds, one more from the 2013 season, stretching from East Coast tracks like Road Atlanta and Sunset Peninsula, to Indianapolis Motor Speedway in the Midwest, and Infineon Raceway in the West Coast. Last year’s competition was fierce, and with returning drivers like DB Stringer & BeeDee, Raiiryu, and last season’s champion Drifter Dave leading the way, there’s no telling how tight 2014’s Pro competition will be.

FDA Pro-AM is the organization of the three Regional Pro-AM competitions in the FDA competition community.

Each Pro-AM series runs a total of 5 events per season, all of which have tracks specific to the region they are based around. At the end of the season, the Top 4 drivers from each region will receive a Pro License, meaning that they are eligible to move up to the Pro Series in the following year to compete on “the big stage” with the best drivers in the community. Drivers may choose which series to run in based upon where they actually live or based upon which series they would just prefer running in.

Forza Drift Allstars Pro-AM Power Rankings
The FDA Pro-AM Power Rankings system shows how drivers from all regions stack up against each other. Though at this point, it holds no significance towards competition itself, it serves as a great placemark for driver performance, and similar to that of the NCAA polls, each week drivers will be able to show off their rank and how they’ve progressed against the rest of the community.

At the end of each competition weekend, drivers’ performance will be sent through an equation, pictured below, which gives us their event score. The higher your average Event Score is, the higher you are ranked.

Results from this past weekend are posted and all the standings have been updated on the post here.

TG xexzel reigns supreme with the first “perfect event”, qualifying first and finishing first in his E36 BMW. He sits atop the Just Drift Pro-AM standings along with teammate DVN Reddo, MCON Maverick and DSI’s EhTime in the top 4. Xexzel also sits atop the national rankings at #1 for the third week in a row. We will have another long break between Pro-AM events, as I have some local events to attend and cannot host anything this weekend or the next.

This upcoming weekend is the second round of FDA Streetwise Pro-AM at the Sebring track we debuted in the November Exhibition event we held. Registration will be open until Friday at midnight. Remember, its never too late to sign up for Pro-AM!

JD Round 3 is today. Very low driver turnout so far regarding registration, so you may register up until around 2:00pm pacific. Track is LeMans. If you want in on some competition, do the following:

  1. Follow the link and create an account at the Forza Drift Allstars forum: http://forums-driftallstars.freeforums.net/
  2. Go to Just Drift Pro-AM >> 2013 Registration, and fill out the required info on your car.
  3. Go to Just Drift Pro-AM Round 3, and report when you would like to qualify.
  4. Respond to our invites when it is your time to qualify and do your runs.
  5. TANDEM BATTLES

Not to mention, doing well today (which is entirely possible) is a great way to start a promising career with FDA, and you may have the chance at running with the Pro Series in a few weeks…

Registration deadline for the Pro Series is May 21st. Once that date passes, anyone on the first list that has not registered will lose their Pro License and be given to those in line on the second list.

The 2014 Pro Series is set to start in mid-June, and the subsequent 2014 Pro-AM season is to start around the same time if not sooner. And, this Pro-AM season, there will be some opportunities to allow Pro-AM drivers to compete at Pro events… So get yourself signed up and readied up at: http://forums-driftallstars.freeforums.net/
