A new season of Forza Drift Allstars is only weeks away from its start. At FD Allstars, we have taken our real-world knowledge and applied it to create a tandem competition environment that really showcases the best and most committed drivers. We do have all three series making their second official season; Streetwise Drift, Just Drift, and Midwest Drift Union.
Streetwise Drift is now run by BobStudley762 and myself, and will span six rounds of competition. SWD will take place on the game’s east coast tracks, or replica tracks from the east coast, including Road Atlanta and Sunset Peninsula.
Midwest Drift Union is now under the control of my teammates, DMA Hoonigan and DMA CapinPlanet, who are both products of MDU, as Hoonigan was our 2013 MDU Champion. They are debuting a few new tracks to the circuit, but will revisit some of the old favorite midwest tracks like Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
Just Drift, now handled by 2013 JD Champion DVN Reddo, as you can guess will take on the west coast tracks like Infineon.
NEW TO THIS SEASON
As each of the series’ are now run by different groups of people, each has their own rule set as far as car regulations and event setups go, to make each series unique and more competitive.
Each series will be slightly longer than last year, which means the points race will stay close, and drivers will get more seat time, and a better chance at performing well.
Some events will advertise the prize of a Pro Pass, meaning drivers who podium in these series will have a chance to drive an event in the Pro Series, or even be able to show up for the Pro Championship Finale, and earn the points and experience of that level of competition.
If you have been wanting to get into tandem competitions, regardless of your skill level, you can come and compete at one of our FD Allstars events. If you want to participate in this season, please post on this thread to let us know, so that we may help you into the next steps in getting you ready for competition!
I’m interested in doing this. But would like to do some PRO AM first to get the hang of things. I hate being a noobie at stuff haha. But yeah, just getting into competition drifting and am loving it so far. Let me know what to do next! As always, thanks alot.

Awesome to hear, Jedi. Because of the nature of our schedule, MDU won’t likely get going until later in the season, so you may have to be a little patient if you want to drive in that.
I encourage you to get your teammates in on this. Get some chatter going on about it in public lobbies. Trying to get the word out to the new generation of Forza players.
Hello mate me and my mates would like to get into this. I do a few competitions in real life and we all thought it would be fun to do some on forza. Let me know mate we are all up for this
How does the points/ranking system work with these sorts of competitions? I’m getting a little tired of dominating random online lobbys, but I have only a bit of experience with tandem stuff. Is it strictly point based or is there some sort of scoring system involved with the tandem portion aswell?
The battles done in these competitions are explained through the HQ thread for that series. For example: SWD has the set of rules you need to abide with. The scoring for qualifying is based by a line, angle and speed judge and each is scored individually out of a set score to create a combined total of 100. Most competitions run a top 32 bracket but in other cases it only runs a top 165 bracket. Your highest qualifying score dictates your positioning in the bracket. Only the top 32 scores (or 16 if the series only holds that many) out of all drivers that attempted to qualify will be allowed to move onto the battles.
When qualifying is done, the battles will take place in a 1v1 format. The battles are done in a similar way but with no scoring. Instead, judges each monitor every corner that is judged when battling is underway. The judges will only judge the corner they are told to, but with battles, they will begin to weigh in other factors on top of the original factors usually scored with qualifying. The lead driver has to perform a run with the angle specified or more and to hit all the clips the course is laid out by. The follow car has to do the same but with keeping close proximity to the lead car if he wants to win the run. There is no scoring or points to this, instead for each corner there is three outcomes: the lead car performs better, both cars perform equally or the follow car performs better on that corner. The overall run is determined by a ‘best-of’ scenario where whoever ‘wins’ the most corners in the run will get the win. Then the lead and follow drivers swap positions and go for their next run. The overall battle is determined when a driver wins two runs in a row. Runs can be tied however, therefore they have to be redone.
Another scenario is when each driver wins a run each. That forces it into a One-More-Time. This is when the battles are done again to determine a winner. If 3 OMT’s are undertaken within the one battle, the judges will decide on a winner without performing another tandem battle.
With the points standings. If you get into the top 16/32, you earn points. If you get into the top 16 (if there was meant to be a top 32) then you will earn more points. This amount of points per win increases with every win. IF you win the entire round for that series. You will earn a large amount of points. This contributes to an overall points standings for that competition. The driver with the most amount of points at the end of the series wins it.
So the points system is based on line angle and speed, and ignores the games points system entirely? Ok, so lets say the follow car does a much better job on his line, speed and angle than the lead car, but the lead car manages to pull away quite a bit and still maintain a solid line angle and speed in the corners. Does the lead car win due to the follow car not being able to keep up? or does the follow car win due to having a better line and angle and whatnot overall?
So, can I compete? Hiro is gone, and I don’t need to be on the forum, I can get people to sign me up but I just want to compete for something to do please. 100% Drama free that way. You took away 3 months of (xbox live LOL) work from me so the least you can do is let me compete. I wont even have my mic plugged in for lobbies if that helps Lol. Well, thanks for not ignoring me on xbox like Hiro and being civil. (Hiro blocked me after 1 message ) lol. Peace (y)
First off, you were never an FDA Pro so please stop thinking that you ever were.
I’m not gone, you were just hoping I would be.
We never took away 3 months of XBL, you did with your behavior and demeanor.
You’ve been banned from FDA at my discretion so, no you cannot and will not compete in FDA. There are other competitions you can enter and look into.
I’ve been nothing but civil with you through and through, you simply forced my hand after violating multiple rules as specified within the FDA Rulebook 2014. I’m not the one who came onto our forum and cried racism along with a whole other slue of things. You didn’t follow the rules after multiple warnings and multiple incidents. I’ve been nothing but respectful and you didn’t respect that hence why I blocked you and banned you.
Simply put, you’ve been given chances and you ruined each one and now that I’ve laid down the hammer, you’ve suddenly had a change of heart. Well you were far too late.
Nah Dude. As in “gone” I meant off xbox for like 3 days so I figured you were getting real life stuff sorted like you said something about in your last youtube video. My bad. That’s all I wanted to hear instead of just getting blocked. Except the rule breaking part is wrong lol, but have a good summer yourself bro, and a good season in FDA.
