Exactly! And the way your own character (that u play as) talks in the game… No my voice is not like my old maths teacher’s and I don’t act like a numbskull everytime I say something.
They need to take notes from GTA’s playable characters except there’s no swear words fr
FH4 was a gorgeous game tbh, plenty of new content imo and the UK map was pretty slept on, though the Mexico map is better. Just the whole storyline and content really went downhill in FH5, nowhere near as much new content in FH5 tbh
Recycling cars in itself is not a bad thing, but that’s all they ever do tbf, hardly any new cars… The amount of new cars irl there are such as the BMW X3M, Essenza SCV12, 400Z, G87 M2, GR Yaris, MK8 Golf R just to name a few that could have easily been added to the game are not there. And the brand new cars that are added u need to get 80+ forzathon points to obtain them…
All cutscenes just HAVE to be annoying in this game. Why is it that when ur waiting for a race, there’s no music anymore, instead ur ears are assaulted with a crowd screeching like idiots
lol wrong
the 80+ points are for the recycled ones, ones that have already been added in game months ago
the “new” to fh5 cars are the 40 point level
For the past few months at least, it’s been the 20 point car from each week that’s been the new ones…
yep mixed up 20 and 40,… 80 point is the series ones, 160 for recycled
Each new car for months has been the Seasonal first car - 20 points.
e.g. this Series - all new cars are the Season ones… (yellow)
I could go back several series (maybe as far as series 6) and it’s the same.
Weirdly - just in the CC race for this week and there were both of the Morris cars in the race to photo …
Newest is usually lowest point requirement on seasons, been that way since FH4 for sure. Series as well.
I don’t recall what they did with 300SLR, but usual circumstance is low points new/high points previous exclusive.
That was one of the longer ones to get but 160 points out of 252 isn’t too hard - just long and tedious…
might have got the colours on this mixed up though - it was a while ago…
they havent done in previous horizons, just look at fh3 and fh4
if they did that there would no point having the auction house
Thank Yah!
I agree with this by a vote of +999999999999999999999999999999999x100000000^4
If you’re not aware that is a MASSIVE number of votes. Though tbh FH4 hasn’t even been on EOL despite the game being over 4 years old.
Ehhh… nothing to do with it being a Day 1 Game Pass title. Everything to do with it selling gangbusters on pre-order based on the franchise history and hype. Saying expectations were high would be an understatement beaten only by the understatement that the customer base was not happy.
I saw lots of Premium Edition pre-order buyers complaining about the game at launch and soon after when it was apparent the game wasn’t what was promised and it might not get fixed. Comparisons to a certain other failed game launch were made. Many were demanding their money back but the way MS structured the deal they were past the refund window because… the refund date started counting from the purchase date, NOT the launch date, the date when you finally played it to find out what you were sold wasn’t what you bought.
Anyway, not really here to argue it, the thread makes me ill having sort of waded through the morass, but this jumped out at me as a point to… clarify ?
What point are you clarifying specifically?
We agree it sold well at launch. It kept selling well for 12 months then 14… 16… 18 going by steam sales despite it being on gamepass.
When I said it doesn’t need to sell I meant today not then… Of course it didn’t NEED to sell them either. That’s the point of Gamepass. Forza just has a history of the $99 edition.
I play/played with a sim racing group about 100 or so people involved. We definitely complained about sync issues but they went away with the 2nd or 3rd patch for us. Although I setup all the network settings on their PC and routers and I always disable Nagles Algorithm in latency sensitive games like this. Packets flow freely without waiting for the buffer to fill.
By now unless you’re nearly 1000 miles away from an azure data center there shouldn’t be much issue with the netcode… Except for the h2h system being completely ruined and never fixed in this game.
That was admittedly one of my fav things to do… just challenge randoms to a h2h as long as they were willing to stay on the roads. Going on a dirt road was fine just no cutting across fields.
I know not everyone is happy with FH5. I don’t know if its the games fault or expectations but I’ve more than gotten my $99 worth out of it so I can look past the couple complaints I have and enjoy what’s here while they build the “next gen” of motorsport then horizon.
This in VR is good fun but not easy to make work. Spiderman Remastered is too especially if you use a joycon in each hand and can shoot left web and right web… Coming soon to Nexus lol. Works with L & R triggers on any controller too but using a joycon adds an aim factor which is hard to master but crazy fun when it all clicks. Just need to animate 4 more tricks and the web slingshot. It plays and looks like it was always that way.
The swinging system in Spiderman 2 on 360, PS3 & wii was always my favorite and it fits nicely into this game and it will instantly work with the miles morales game priced DLC coming out soon.
True
Tbh, i was only disappointed with the three oldie wagon idiots they added, but at least i gotta sell them. Sure enough that a true FH5 update needs at least 8 cars added. I do understand the struggle of Licensing but sometimes, it’s a hassle for some people. Thinking about cars from previous Forzas that i want to see in FH5, i already made a suggestion about it. And PGG better apologize to us next month giving us better “Christmas presents.”
Fair enough, Gran Turismo 7 is even more worse. It may have all the content of GT Sport but still lacked several cars due to “possible remodeling?” Like they were adding boring cars mostly and sure enough that it doesn’t have big new content like here in Forza. And people wanted to see Lexus LFA, BMW M5 E60, etc. But still there’s no chance. Polyphony Digital doesn’t listen to their fans and they never made forums containing suggestions. So thankfully i avoided and stopped supporting it. They’re even more worse than Turn 10 and Playground Games.
The Crew 2 may have the biggest map but the things i don’t like is: its Driving physics are terrible and the amount of cars that Toyota and Subaru are missing. Big map, but not a big gameplay. It also failed in my opinion that it’s too arcadey. Unlike Forza Horizon, which may have some arcade style gameplay but its driving physics are accurately simulated to me.
GRID Legends instantly failed to me when it releases, think it’s just like GRID 2019 but with a cinematic story. The overall game is not recommended for my own personal.
and for NFS, their old childhood games are great, but the new ones look somewhat ruined. NFS will have a chance for their new Unbound releasing next month, it may have no more Toyotas which means NO GR Supra but i will observe. Otherwise, it might turn into an instant flop like NFS Heat because the driving physics were the same as Payback and 2015.
I’m okay with the Lynk and Co race car, and the Rocket Bunny kits are welcomed back from FH4. Donut Media story is short and too easy. So the Series 14 of FH5 is a 5 out of 10 to me. I’m giving a chance to PGG to prove themselves right that they’ll bring better cars in the next time. Let’s hope that they’ll make a promise.
If it was me who experienced a returning car back from horizon 4 in 5 id definitely be disappointed. Especially if i was a long time player. Ive played h4 for about 200 hours. Horizon 5 was the game that made me experience the car list so im not gonna be one to complain too much about it. But i absolutely understand it.
And honestly PG thought they could do the same with horizon 5 as in h4 and just run the new cars through the festival playlist. But honestly new cars are temporary. The focus of the updates shouldnt rely only on new cars. Because we reach to the point where we are right now and we got no new interesting cars regardless of what the reason beind this is.
And now what? Other than that we got a half baked horizon story and thats it.
New cars are nice but when they rely on that being the main focus of the update because thats what players come to the game for… well this happens. Nobody opens the game to play the new horizon story( maybe some). But still the cars Are the main focus. How about the racing? How about new events?
Whatever issue there is that causes us not getting new cars ( not trying to justify PG) Players are rightfully calling them out for it and for the many other things. But i rather have updates every 2 months and get a solid update than a month of the same playlist and the same races.
Apparently they cant do what they did with horizon 4 and keep on adding and adding many many new cars. So i think they need to switch their strategy when it comes to post launch support and content. And make their base game way better for horizon 6. Better map, better events, better made features, less glitches…
Theres so much of this game that hasnt been touched on maybe even since horizon 3. For horizon 6 they seriously needs to rework as much as possible from the ground up. Theres nothing they can do now except maybe expantion 2 to redeem themselves.
All i care now is for expantion 2. I desperately want to see if they’ve learned something this past year. They cant do anything else besides that. And work on Hoirzon 6 and possibly turn it into the game we all wished for.
yk I totally agree with that, forza’s just like everyone else. The main thing that does annoy me is the childish storyline. What are ur thoughts on Assetto Corsa?
I don’t know, but i have barely looked at some Assetto Corsa videos involving some mods on cars, maps, and traffic. And it does say that it has absolute realism. I’m not too sure about AC but i’ll think.
