Forza Color Converter - Online Tool

I have created this small tool for a friend of mine and myself, to allow us to quickly get the correct color to use for vinyl and livery in Forza.

You can attach any picture from your own computer, click anywhere on the picture to capture that pixel and convert the color to the non-standard color system which Forza is using.

Thanks, I tried to keep it simple, so therefore it lacks a guide :guide_dog: but I hope it is very straight forward.

Yes, it’s easy to use

To be clear, this only converts to the standard gloss colors right?

Matte is still based on the base-color of the car, on this picture here, I captured the colors directly from the McLaren F1 website to convert those colors into Forza Horizon 5. So it is just the color, not the glossiness.

I used to use this all the time but as I went to use it today (5/11/24) it no longer exists

Oh, sorry, I forgot to pay for the domain, and I want to transfer it to another ISP… give me a couple of minutes, hours or days…

Hi Giant,

The domain should be up again now, thanks for letting me know.

I have updated the tool to 1.2 with a bit redesign and a new feature to be able to capture the average color of an area instead of just a single pixel color.
Use the SHIFT+ScrollWheel to resize the area.

The Preview Color has been moved into the border of the selected color, so you can now easier see how close you are to the previous color.

Is it possible to update the output for the Forza color values to indicate the left or right tick of the numeric value? Each number on the slider has two values, i.e. 0.54 left (L) and 0.54 right (R). Is there a way for your tool to compute the values of the color to indicate whether the left or right tick is closer to the true color of the pixel?

For example, if the hue of the color in HSL or HSB is 196.57, could you make your tool divide that number by 360 to get the Forza-formatted hue value? You could set it so that .00 to .49 is the left tick and 0.50 to 0.99 is the right tick. In this example, 196.57/360 is 0.54602777777; that means the most accurate Forza hue value would be 0.54 right or 0.54R.

Of course, this same function would apply to the saturation and brightness. I just think it’s easier to explain with the hue.

That is what it is doing, if you check the value named “Forza”

Very good tool, however im guessing it doesn’t work with Metallic colours. As it doesn’t give the Lowlight & Highlight values.

No clue how I’ve never seen this before, it’s awesome. I have a bit of color blindness mostly with oranges and yellows. I am going to use this for my next project. Thanks for making this.

Hey there just wanted to let you know that the websites currently down . Looks like imma be doing it the old fashioned way haha

You and me both hahaha. Currently using an excel spreadsheet I made up to calculate the values and it works fine, but this is so much easier haha xD. Really hope this one isnt going down cause this will make the 2nd color picker I had used that quit its service.

I messaged the OP/Creator, not sure if they are still around. My guess is URL or hosting needs to be paid for.

The Excel spreadsheet is a smart idea. I’m going to have to figure it out soon for my next project.

If I use a color drop tool, do you know which numbers I should use (RGB?) and what to do to them to get the Forza codes?

Im currently using @ABGRAPHICS notes for my own [FM_TUTORIAL] Forza Colour Conversion at the moment. Hes got steps showing the math and calculations there as well
