Forza 7 tunes

Does anyone know why all the recommended tunes are locked? Plus half of them just show all triangles and pi e 100 and when I try to download and install/save it says please try again later. Any help would be appreciated

Does this still happen after rebooting?

Mine has been like that since launch day.

Sometimes even though the tunes show as locked,it will still download them.

In fact this is caused by the homologation system; it is possible to download some tunes and others not, with the message “try later” , and many people thinks is about a server problem or a problem with those tunes…but not. Is what T-10 has decides to “help” with the new system: confuse a little bit more!! XDXDDD

I don´t know exactly the trick, or better say…the order to make the changes to download that tunes that says “Try later”, but i exit, homologate the car with stock parts, again, and then enter, again, in the look for tunes menu and it should be possible to download those tunes that previously were not available to download, regardless of the locked symbol. In fact all of this has its own logical work, but the “Try again” message is desperating and a fault of effort to make a finished game, as many others.

There´s an advice orange triangles that i suposse that are the advice that you reach the class of cars (for parts such as tyres, power unit, etc…), A to S or so…but again i can´t really figure how much this define the rules to know if you can download a particular tune even if you exceed or go beyond the PI, is just as simple as the system says “Try later”…great!!! XDDDD Where the real thing is the homologation weird system wich is well explained in some places of the game and in others, just like that for example; maybe they had not enough time to finish this “details”

Sorry for my english and poor explanation but please don blame on me…blame on the poor and nonsense message that the game shows “Try later”…instead of an explanation about that in some cases the homologation systems is so weird that affects and cause this particular issue, bug or whatever…is just another “Get by your own and try”. (regardless of the homologation system, that i can understand, the real problem is the message; completly wrong and pointless.

Salute!

It’s been like this since launch day for me too. i have yet been able to download a tune. ive tried rebooting reinstalling on both pc and xbox one to no avail. ty all for the replies. i guess ill wait it out and hope for a fix.

It seems that 2 different things are discussing here.

Read my explanation, and my poor english XD, for the issue that is hapennig to you about the “Try again later”, because is the homologation thing that causes this non explained message or simply confused. Try it, it works and all the tunes are available, the ones that is in the homologated class and the others, majority of them, that exceed the PI; wich is needed to fix is the message itself with an explanation by T-10 just like in other menus pussing R3 on th controller.

And the other thing discussed here is very different : locked tunes doesn´t mean that you can´t download them, means that you can´t tweak it because the creator decides to lock, and almost are always locked by the creator. The locked symbol is just as in other Forza series and nothing new.

Please try to do what i explained some posts above. Luck!

Lol while you guys are waiting, maybe you should have a go at tuning on your own?

Yes…but share your tunes and see if it deserves or not; that´s the question here.

There are great tuners around all Forza games, and to be honest i´m not as good as others and i´m more interested in the race way, so i use to download tunes, use it and vote it.

Others are great tuners, painters, etc… The problem is in the system and not if someone can tune or not a car, wich is a great thing in forza series.

Salute!

the “recommended” are terrible, you should be downloading from the leaderboard

All downloaded tunes are going to be locked, much the same as vinyl groups or liveries. The tuners put a lot of work into their tunes, and it wouldn’t be fair to them for someone to download it and then share it as their own.

If you’re seeing E100 / E100 in My Tunes from previous games, that’s probably due to a part in the game that isn’t present in FM7, such as Rally Springs or redline tires.

It was the same in 5 and 6. Roughly 8 tunes in the list goes to heck and no stats are displayed.
