I don’t normally come on here but I’m so disappointed with this and was just painting a car when the game just decided too crash (x box one) I can’t believe they put them loot boxes/prize crates in a racing game I’ve been with forza since forza 4 and this one forza 7 is a right mess I bought the ultimate edition and it feels like spending £80 on a game isn’t enough they have too throw micro transactions at you also and I could go on but I’m just going too say what I’ve experienced so far bugs glitches ect 1 the game sometimes won’t go past the loading screen on x box with the porche and driver so have too reload it 2 I’ve seen cars literally spawning on top of each other in multiplayer at start of race 3 no classes in multiplayer 4 when painting a car when you scroll the layers it freezes and locks up so you have too save it and back out 5 random crashes when painting a car 6 disconnections randomly when in multiplayer 7 waiting for race too start in lobby of multiplayer and only takes certain people too the track others left in lobby I’m going too end it here but this game is a mess at moment and I’m really disappointed patch soon please safe driving everyone peace.
[ … ] <<< As compensation for your woes here’s an free VIP limited edition loot crate for you. Feel free to copy/paste it’s contents anywhere that takes your fancy.
Except Turn10 is on the record as saying they plan to add the ability to buy loot crates with real currency. They don’t belong in Forza. Honestly, they don’t belong in a game you already paid full retail price for.
But they’ll still be purchasable with in game currency, which isn’t hard to accumulate even without spending ages playing, and so far no-one has reported getting an exclusive or locked car from one, and the rest is either just vanity items or mods, which aren’t required in any way for 100% completion. So what’s your point? If people choose to pay for them that’s their shout. But it is NOT necessary to in any way, shape or form. It’s not going to boost those who pay for them higher than someone who buys them with in game currency, or even someone who never has nor will purchase a single crate using either means…
[Mod Edit - Abbreviated profanity, profanity and profanity that is disguised but still alludes to the words are not permitted - D]… Why in the heck is everyone so upset about the loot crates? Really, and why do folks say "micro transactions??? Like my friend here says… I’ve bought many crates and not spent a single penny on them. So if later T10 lets you buy crates with cash… So be it… You dn’t have too… But Little Johnny’s Mom might want to give her son 5 bucks for him to buy crates… So who cares. If you completely hate them don’t use them.
As far asthenosphere MESS mentioned in the first comment… I’ve not had those issues, I’m sure it’s happening… I’m on XBOX ONE and I’ve played since FM on the original XBOX.
I agree FM4 was the jewel, and T10 has “SERIOUS CONTROL ISSUES” they like to force you to play their game their way… But to be Honest, FM7 has the best career mode of al the past games including FM4.
As far as I’m concerned… I only want one thing more… The “Ability to are my own Series” select my class, the tracks, how long the race is and then race them.
Please guys stop whining abut the LooT Crates… Please !!!
AGREED… 100%. Remember the Slot machine affect in FH2 I think.
But to be honest I’d buy the hell out of them if they came with add tracks…Like:
Mid-Ohio, Barber, Miller Motosports Park, etc…!
or if they came with extra Ribbons… Like:
Moto GP layout at Catalunya, or the old Historic versions of SPA or Hockingham… Now that would be a LOOT CRATE!
I am not against all those events and it’s nice for players to be able to win or buy cars at special events. But locking cars exclusively away behind these events, shows that even the devs have no trust in their created economy and game longevity. They expect players to get access to pretty much all cars after a few weeks anyway, despite the new tier system. And they fear players getting bored after a few weeks, so they need to lock cars away for later (whenever that might be…).
What does it say about a game with 600 cars (+100 locked away)?
Forzathon and events such as bounty hunter will certainly reward locked cars - the current bounty hunter rewards two locked cars, one for participation and one if you beat the final time - and the speciality dealer. No one knows exactly what and when.
Did you play FM6? Do you realize that “Loot Crates” existed in FM6 but were just named differently with no blingy animation? T10 isn’t going to allow you to buy “Loot Crates” with real money, they are going to sell you tokens which will be used to purchase in game items with loot crates being one an item. Do you realize this is something that’s been going on since FM4?
Now can you explain how loot crates negatively affect your game play? I understand there are a fair number of recently released AAA titles where these “loot crates” are a terrible addition to the games and all but force people to buy em, but I feel like people are just jumping on the hate wagon without understanding how they work in Forza. When T10 starts restricting actual game content inside of these “loot crates” as well as reducing the amount of in game Cr. you can earn without Mods to the point where you feel you must purchase “loot crates” then we have a problem. That scenario does not exist yet.
Let’s see. The plan is to sell tokens for real money yes. The income for Forza 7 has already been reduced, and the car prices are already increased. Frankly mods shouldn’t exist as well, and yes I know they were also in Forza 6. That doesn’t magically make it right.
Explain how loot crates have anything to do with racing please.
Again. How did that affect you enjoying FM4? How about FM5? Did ruin FM6 or any of the Horizon’s for you? They’ve been doing this for 7 years and I’ve yet to have it impact my game. I’m just not seeing how it hurts your game play in FM7.
No it really hasn’t. If anything we are earning a significant amount more since we are getting a free car or so heavily discounted it might as well be every time we level. I have more cars and credits at level 30 than I have in any other Forza at the same level. I think in FM6 I was only sporting about 20 cars(not counting DLC) at level 50 and was here on the forums complaining credit income wasn’t enough because I was dead broke.
This has not only been disproved but it’s so hilariously incorrect that I can’t believe it’s still being repeated. Head over to Kudosprime and see for yourself. Sure some of the cheaper models are thousands higher but when you factor in how many cars have been discounted by millions, there’s really no comparison in the overall price.
Eh, that’s subject to opinion. I might agree the more generic mods shouldn’t exist or the mods that have replaced assists, but the challenge or special condition mods absolutely have a place.
Why does it have to be directly associated with racing? It’s a game and one of the chief complaints has always been the devaluing of credits once you get around 6 months in. The fix for this is to create credit sinks. One of these sinks is the loot boxes. It’s fine if you don’t like loot boxes but please give some of your ideas on credit sinks or other ways to remove the late game credit accumulation. I’m actually disappointed they didn’t create more random, cosmetic things to go inside the loot boxes. Again as long as the boxes don’t harm progression like I mentioned above I’m just not seeing a problem with it.
Have to agree with everything you have said
If people dont like the mods or crates they dont NEED to use them
Just like people dont NEED to buy tokens either
All it does is give people who DO an option to do so
And it will give me something to waste my credits on when there’s nothing else to spend them on
The past few games have been way too easy to earn credits
Some people must have forgotten what fm2 fm3 and fm4 were actually like when credits weren’t thrown at you constantly and you had to actually play the game instead of being spoonfed
I dont want to complete the game within the first month
100 cars within the first week already .at that rate will have them all within 7-8 weeks…then what
And VIP double credits is still to be reintroduced
Yes, how right you two are. Who would want the game they paid for. I certainly want about a third of it locked behind random crates.
In any case, yes many of us remember Forza 4. The best FM in the series I’m afraid. I have to say trying your luck on the wheel of fortune is a far cry from earning anything, nor is it playing the game. I somehow thought that racing was what this game was about.
What exactly is locked behind random crates again?
I’m getting the impression you just want a store in the game where every single item has a Cr. value attached and is only available by purchasing with this method. That sounds INCREDIBLY boring. Games like that exist though. They are called Assetto Corsa and Project Cars. Great racing games with little to no progression attached. Maybe put your energy there?
Nope. Both of those games have a very simple career path where you don’t have to worry about unlocking cars or earning currency to purchase new ones. Everything is available right from the start. They have great career paths(at least PCARS did, I only do online for AC) but don’t really have a progression feel.
