My xbox updated to the new windows 10 experience last night, comments on that aside my wheel isn’t recognised and I’ve had a meltdown. I tried a wide array of different ideas, updated wheel, different USB ports bootup with no controller etc etc here is the only way I got it to work, finally!
ok firstly you need a Kinect, if you don’t have it, sorry, if you do switch it on firstly.
Next Turn off xbox one controller
Connect the Thrustmaster TX to a USB Port
Say XBOX goto Forza Motorsport 6
It will then appear asking you to select a person, at this stage the wheel still isn’t recognised, by all means try bashing A “Say XBOX Select” - if GT selector doesn’t appear
Say Choose this person (Assuming its on your gamertag)
It will then go into forza and the wheel will now be working in Forza 6.
Next turn your controller back on and you have your headset back, wheel still functioning.
Really, it could do with being sticky post in support, I posted to general by mistake. I’ve only had this problem since W10 update previously I could just use the D pad on wheel to select my GT for use on wheel. and sorry for a repeat message. Hopefully a fix comes soon simply because my Kinect hasn’t got a place to live.
Only just got update, bit of a problem if you don’t own a Kinect.
Hi Turbo, how can you get the wheel working on the new Windows 10 Dashboard with the controller?
Please let me know as using the Kinect is a pain in the ****. Also Searched this forum and my solution is only one I could find relating to the preview windows 10 dashboard, nightmare because my screen keeps going dim mid race have to touch my controller to remove the screen saver. The dashboard doesn’t recognise the wheel Atall. Even when I save a tune it then doesn’t let me use the keyboard so have to keep swapping between wheel and controller. Only on the new preview dashboard. Never had this issue before on any of the other preview dashboards but this one is a big change.
