All of a sudden, I’m getting weird movement from cars in replays -doesn’t happen during the race, but the replays have gone to pot - you can even hear the tyre screech coming in and out. Never seen it despite having played pretty much all of the previous games (although i hear this is a long standing issue?) but now, any car, any track i get this: Replay
I like watching replays back - but this really ruins it, and I’m not seeing any fixes or suggestions anywhere?
For info, FM6 on OG 500GB Xbox one, on an external 2TB seagate drive (same model of drive as the xbox branded drive and faster than the internal) with well over 1.5 TB free space.
As a quick aside - why the limit on number of replays when you have a lot of storage space remaining?
Some more diagnosis - tried turning down the ‘record this’ length back to default 30 sec - no difference. performed a full restart - this seemed to do it - it wasn’t all that long since it last had to do this, but it appears to have resolved the issue - but evidently there is some issue requiring a full restart to restore performance.
Downloaded version of Forza 6, single player replays. Jerky movement and sounds on replays just as you described. Looks like lag as if you were playing multiplayer.
I would recommend everybody to perform a full shutdown/power up after each session. Your console is like a PC and needs to have its cache cleared up in order to keep things running without hiccups.
I.e. after each gaming session, turn off the console completely by either tapping the power button or holding down the Guide button. Make sure your console is NOT on Instant On. Next, disconnect power to the brick until it goes completely off.
The next time you feed power to your brick, it will turn white. Wait for it to turn amber, then power up your console. Do this every time you conclude a session. You can also have your wall outlet modified so that there’s a power cut off switch, so that you don’t have to pull out the brick plug every time. Note: do not use extension cables or voltage regulators of any kind just to have the power cut off functionality.
