Forza 5 Thrustmaster Settings to stop fishtailing

Hi, I was wondering if someone could publish their settings and I mean full settings with PC settings and Forza 5 settings so that I can actually use the wheel. I really am struggling to get to grips with it :frowning:

Thank you in advance.

Why don’t you start by telling us what settings you’re currently using?

You’ve probably got the feedback on far too strong and you’re not used to it…

turn your feedback down to 30% in Forza and go from there, also make sure you have the correct degrees of rotation (press left on the engine start pad + mode at the same time)

Other than that…we need to know your settings first.

i have the same problem, mine didnt need updated on the pc so as soon as I got it I hooked it up to my xbox and started playing (havnt even hooked it to pc) unlike using the controller if u fish tail it is impossible to recover and if u take ur hands off the wheel even on a straight away it will start slinging left and right eventually into an unrecoverable fish tail? Ive turn the feedback to 40 and my rotation to 360 and everything else is 0-100 I think… any help would be appreciated…

Are you using sim steering? Try normal if you are.

These issues could also be tune-related.

For anyone having problems we really need to know what settings you’re currently using (wheel settings, controller settings, assists) and also what car/class/upgrades/tune you’re using to help diagnose the issue.

Im racing c class prague with my honda civic, with the controller im in the top 100 with a 2:05 but with the wheel im running 2:10 which is alot of lost time… I turned the steering to normal and rotation to 900 per suggested by alot of people which did help but im still a few seconds shy of my average with contrller. I have no assists besides tcs because of the fishtailing and manual w/o clutch… anymore suggestions and thx for helping guys

There is a learning curve when switching to a wheel from a gamepad, for some it can take just a couple of hours; though they usually have past experience with racing wheels. Some people can take a few days, and others it can be as long as a couple of months. You really just need to have some patience, and practice with the wheel.

My advanced wheel settings in forza are:

Deadzones:

Accel: 0/99
Decel: 0/99
Steering:0/100
Rumble: 85%
FFB: 85%
DOR: 900 for road cars and for drifting, 360 for all race cars.

What you can is buy a low powered RWD car (Ford Sierra Coswoth, older BMW M3), load up the fully open test tract airfield via the tuning menu’s, and just go nuts. Throw the car around as much as you can, and it will aid you in learning throttle control, brake control, and steering control. After a while you will be able to drift the car around that area, and you will learn how to control a slide, and also how to stop it happening for the most part.

I have backed my FFB down to 60% and its still quite strong,FFB is not the TX’s weak point thats for sure!
