Is anyone else having an issue with forza crashing their xbox, it started whilst I was on an app, and a notification for a forxza achievment was displayed, little bit odd I thought but I wasn’t worried. Then later I was playing forza, game crashed as I was waiting for a race to load, so I quit game and restarted it from the home screen As far I got was the title screen, no further, so I ejected disc and tried again with another game and same problem. Did a hard reset of my xbox but no joy, so I unplugged my xbox and plugged it back in and it worked.
Later in the evening I was playing forza again, first it tried to do an update mid race, 14gb no less, then later it crashed whilst loading a race. Did the same as before, unplugged it and then all was well.
This is not happening with other games, has anyone else had this same problem?
Same here, hard reboot gets the game started again but then it crashes again! Were you trying to load the nurburgring? That’s what I have tried twice both times it hung on the circuit map screen.
It was Nurburgring the first time, To be honest can’t remember what it was the second time though.
The update-system is flawed on the One. Most updates (games and/or apps) don’t really appear until the One gets a full powercycle / hard reboot.
Sometimes I KNOW to expect an update and it just doesn’t show; I powercycle the console, sign in, be online, wait a few minutes and all of a sudden the updates show up in my Queue.
Weird you needed a mid-game 14GB update; can’t remember the last big update for FM but it was under 3GB.
Do a full reset of your box and try again. Its working now on a different track. Maybe nurburgring specific??

Mines all good now. Well for rival events anyway. I will try a race now

I uninstalled then reinstalled it, but it still happens, whatever it is I think it must be terminal, almost as if forza 5 is corrupted.

I am on beta version too, even though some of the beta’s have been glitch they’ve never affected my games until now. Apparently there is a server issue so this may have something to do with it.
If you’re running a beta version of the Xbox One, complain to the proper forums, not here. There are plenty of problems on the beta which affect games, including using a USB device, voice chat interference, etc. Turn 10 cannot “fix” those types of issues, and unless reported in the proper place, they’ll not get corrected.
Yea your not alone, its happening every 2-3 races in multiplayer lobbys, everyone in my car club is getting the same whether your in the US or UK so the games flawed somewhere…
