So here is my deal with Forza 5, my game froze on loading a race screen, dashboarded me then every time I loaded it again 5 seconds in loading shot me back to the dash again, then on trying to load another game did the same. The quick fixes did not work, holding the xbox button down for 10 seconds (the only way to clear the cache I have since found out) did not work, wouldn’t delete game disk save, froze on factory rest.
Only way I could get my xbox to work was, take the disk out, shut down holding the xbox button for 10 seconds until it went off, restart, factory reset, pull the power out overnight and the xbox worked again. After all that the next day I wapped the power back in did all the gamertag stuff and Re-installed forza and… same again… Froze on loading screen. I have seen another post some where else saying goto settings - Blueray & Dvd - persistent storage and clear it. I have not done this yet as after all the messing around I have done so far I have not re-installed my forza disk, because I’m not going through all that again, but if someone wants to give it a try please post your result an see if it helps.
I am not sure if this is a forza issue or an xbox one from not clearing its ram out when its full, all I want to do is play my game without it trashing my xbox.
I hope this is fixed soon because my xbox looks no good as a table armament, and to be quite frank the xbox has very nearly become a pile of plastic bits on the pavement as I have nearly thrown it out of the window several times!
