I just made a jump back to Forza 5. And yes, from my point of view, the graphics just looks even better in FM6.
But driving, especially career / single player is much easier in FM5. They did a lot in FM6 to reduce unfair driving in Multiplayer (corner cutting, wall riding and high speed intentional crashing).
So we have a lot of new tire barriers in the game, some only inches away from the clean line at high speed sections. We have this new behavior of the tire barriers at all. In FM5 a slight hit was OK. In FM6, only a slight touch will instantly stop your car and probably spin it cross the road.
What is see, this took out some corner cutting and wall riding. But the result is from my point of view more horrible. If a car in front of me (regardless if Drivatar or other Player) a bit too much cuts the corner or sliding on the wall, this is not such a big issue. With the new setup in FM6 this is usually resulting in big crashes. And this is from my point of view much worse for the game.
And for the Drivatars, from my experiences there is not this big difference. Not in aggressive driving and also in FM5 sometimes a single or two cars are going very fast on 1st / 2nd position. As I told before, in other discussions, I can race single player with sim damage on, no reduces Drivatar aggression and often enough win races (expert Drivatars). Same in FM5 and FM6.
But well, especially for short races (2 laps), this “good old” Forza style to start every race from midfield … this s&$@ a bit in single player.
And thank you T10 for removing stupid things from carer mode - Bowling and London Trash Race
And i want the dirty lap indicator in Career mode back!
For some Illustration, Catalunia:
FM5 clean line, race legal (two tires still on curbs)

Same place in FM6

In FM6 a lot of Corners are now “perfect hit or die”

Seems to me like you’ve got some practicing to do.
Aehhh ??? … did you got the point about what i was saying? … And by the way, the FM6 Foto is a parked car …
If i hit such an “obstacle” … my problem, to fast, not exactly took the turn … this happens. The Problem is, if someone hits this obstacles, this is resulting in usually big crashas. And hitting this things just happens from time to time.
The anti cut barriers are ridiculous. Not only do they get put in stupid places, as above, but they completely ruin the look and feel of the circuits. The esses at COTA or the Ford chicane at Le Mans are ruined for me as a simple mistake which would cause you to run wide or miss the corner now results in a crash.
I accept that corner cutting might be a problem in multiplayer but in single player mode, they are just not necessary. If Turn 10 are worried about leader board times then why not just mark the lap as ‘dirty’ as before? Otherwise, if someone wants to cut corners in single player mode, let them get on with it and leave the tracks alone.
I dont see why Turn 10 can’t implement a more sensible way of penalising those who want to cheat, without compromising the visual authenticity which, is one of the things that Forza is promoted to offer.

100% agree, especilay also regading look and feel of the tracks. Yes, for multiplayer such messurements are unfortunately required. I wish T10 had found a better way to deal with this isues in multiplayer. For LB hot laping, the dirty lap limits for tracks usually workes fine.
last night i grazed a tyre wall on B alps and went from 150mph to 0 stuck facing the tyres… the car chasing me cruised by into the lead. ok fair enough i thought.
i caught him back up and on exactly the same corner it was him this time that went wide. he hit the same tyre wall and bounced off doing a full 720 into my path totally wiping me out.
his car landed perfectly in gear and continued the race. my car was facing the wrong way in the tyres again. lol
bring back forza 4 quicksand!
