Why not follow the COD model and just remaster Forza 4 for XBOX1? Instead of investing crazy time into Forza 7, just remaster for 4k, and/or scorpio. Update cars/tracks with DLC and call it a day. This would give Turn 10 at least another two or three years to release FORZA 7.
Bet the community would absolutely love it, Turn 10 could still charge the full price and everyone would still play. Win, win for everyone!

I don’t see it happening. Forza doesn’t have anywhere near the following that COD does. I would rather have FM7 in native 4K on the Scorpio to be honest. The S only upscales to 4K, so I don’t think there was a ton of work to remaster COD4. I don’t know a lot about coding, but I suspect FM4 in native 4K would be a major re-write.
That’s never gonna happen. They want the big money.
Although F4 was a great game. The physics and looks are so much better in F6. As for the COD. I can bet they put a lot into it. Things seem the same. But they are not. It has had a total upgrade. I for one would not be buying an F4 re-mastered. I really like F6 and I hope they spend their time wise in creating F7 and not waste time with an F4 re-make.
I hold COD4 in the same regards FM4, but there probably more COD4 active players still playing than forza ever had. And the game almost 10 years old and hacked to hell.
Yes, a friend of mine has been playing on the PS4 and there’s a ton of people playing it.
Reasons it won’t happen:
[1] Licensing of cars, in-game sponsors and voice work. Depending on the initial legal setup of the title those may need to be renewed when making a game backwards compatible.
[2] It would draw attention away from current Motorsport titles.
[3] A new Motorsport title will bring in more revenue than a back-compatible version of an existing one, and would also be more important to Microsoft in terms of selling Xbox One consoles.
[4] The game officially reached “end of life” status over a year ago.
There is only one problem. You are comparing a shooter game with a racing game.
