Ford Escort RS Cosworth - performance Upgrades & Tuning

I’ve been for a while suggesting the addition of tire profile size upgrade and rim size decrease options for all the small stature rally homologation cars in the Forza Horizon roster ranging from the 60’s Mini Cooper S to the 2005 Subaru Impreza WRX STi.

The road version of the 1992 Ford Escort RS Cosworth, which in FH5 is a recycled model from Forza Motorsport 4, is no exception to my previous suggestions, and i also do want particularly this car to be remodeled with Laser-Scanning, while also remodeling all the Ford brand’s original Aero and Appearance body parts showcased in the images below:

AERO & APPEARANCE (Rescanning already existing brand body parts):

The very same body parts from the Group A 1993-96 and World Rally Car 1997-98 iterations. Speaking of Ford WRT body upgrades, i want these fender Mudguards equipped in the Side Skirts as Forza Aero to be replaced by the original Ford WRT’s fender Mudguards, which should be enabled as a body paint 2nd option in the advanced painting feature. Here are some other images below of the Escort showcasing how the Ford WRT’s fender mudguards actualy were:

AERO & APPEARANCE (Additional laser-scanned body parts):

Now for what other body parts should be added include for Hood/Roof, a second variant of the 3 Ford brand’s Hood/Roof Scoop upgrades showcased above, without the stock sunroof while transferring the cars antenna more to the rear end of the roof, like in the image below of the Escort WRC:

The next 2 body body parts to be added for the car, as showed in the following images are:

This form of night/fog headlight in the Hood upgrades to accompany the 97-98 Escort WRC’s Front Bumper, with 2 variants of this, with and without the Roof Scoop;

Finally, this format of rear view mirrors for both sides of the car, which we can paint or add decals.

TIRES & RIMS:

Front/Rear Rim Size:

For these showed in my screenshot above, i want the option of 15-inch Rim to be added as a 4th upgrade option. as the stock tire/rim size for the Escort Cosworth’s road version is specified as “225/45R16”, decreasing the rim size to the 15-inch option would change the specs to “225/50R15”.

Front/Rear Tire Width:

As for tire width, all 4 wheels have a tire width of 225 mm by default, and since there are just 3 tire width increase options being 235, 255 and 265 mm, i also want five additional options, but for tire width decrease, being 215, 205, 195, 185 and 175 mm. These are tire width additional upgrades with decrease of 10 by 10 between them, as 215 and 205 mm options are tire width standards for gravel spec rally cars since the 1990’s, while 175 mm have been the minimum standard for ice/snow spec rally cars since then.

Front/Rear Track Width:

This one is what we need to be readjusted, especially in the level-1 of track width increase upgrade, so the face of all 4 wheels should be perfectly alingned with the fenders, as it appears in the Hoonigan Gymkhana 10 Version of the Escort RS Cosworth showed in my FH5 screenshots below:

Front/Rear Tire Profile Size:

For this one, i want at least 3 level of tire profile increase. Here are the following tire spec examples in these 3 levels of tire profile size when compared to the stock tire profile size, with the tire width maintained as the default 225 mm in unison with all the rim size options from 15 to 19 inches:

  • Stock: 225/50R15, 225/45R16, 225/40R17, 225/35R18, 225/30R19;
  • Lv-1: 225/55R15, 225/50R16, 225/45R17, 225/40R18, 225/35R19;
  • Lv-2: 225/60R15, 225/55R16, 225/50R17, 225/45R18, 225/40R19;
  • Lv-3: 225/65R15, 225/60R16, 225/55R17, 225/50R18, 225/45R19.

CUSTOM TUNING (PLATFORM & HANDLING):

In this, i would only want a readjustment in the custom tuning for the Rally Upgrade of springs and dampers, increasing the maximum Ride Height possible to 22.5 cm in both front and rear. This would bring the 1992 Ford Escort RS Cosworth right to the same maximum ride height capability of the 2001 #4 Ford Focus RS WRC showed in the screenshot below:

ENGINE UPGRADES & CONVERSION:

The upgrades for the stock (224 hp @ 304 N-m) 1,993cc I4 Turbo of the 1992 Escort can be maintained as they are in Forza Horizon 5, since by just upgrading the Camshaft to Race Package, as well as both Valves and Ignition to Sport Package, i reach exactly the “310 hp @ 350 N-m” specs of the 1993-96 RS Cosworth Group A Rally Car.

However, for Engine Swap in the CONVERSION Set, i would want a second variant of that same 1,993cc I4 Turbo to be added as an option, but in this case, tuned by default to “300 hp @ 390 N-m” with the Anti-Lag feature.

That is all i had to suggest about the 1992 Ford Escort RS Cosworth (Road Version), for future Forza Horizon titles.
