For (hyper)cars with adaptive aero, flaps, etc

So for these cars where the stock editions supposedly already has (and FM7’s graphics show being used around the track) features such as airbrakes, active diffuser flaps, retractable spoilers, and other adaptive aerodynamics - do these features even matter (in FM7?)

The reason I’m asking is because - on my PC using a Logitech G920 - I feel like I’m on iceskates (lose grip much more easily) unless I use the Forza adjustable rear-wing which just wrecks the beauty of many of these cars.

Is this something I can tune or is pretty much a given with the Forza series that without a rear wing (and the Forza adjustable front spoiler, which is also pretty ugly IMO) you’re just going to have really give up on cornering?

From what I’ve seen, as far as shared tunes…and/or videos watched, the Hypercars have primarily been used with the the full aero kit (F/R). At the same time, there have been some that have created “non-aero” tunes. For example, though not part of the Hypercars, I have several non-aero tunes shared (the Ferrari F50 comes to mind). If there is a specific car that you have in mind, I could take a look at it and test w/o.

Thanks - this was something I came across as I was doing the Master’s “Exotic GT.”

The specific cars I messed around with were the following:

2016 Lamborghini Aventador LP750-4 SV and the McLaren 720S Coupe.

I guess what my question comes down to is this - my expectation was that these cars would be a lot easier to handle stock than without resorting to the Forza adjustable front/rear spoilers. I hate the look of the Forza versions, but have a really tough time handling these cars without them. It’s as if I don’t get any downforce unless I add the Forza wing and then set a downforce, if that makes sense.

For me, the Aventador SV seems to produce downforce without installing the forza aero parts. It just sticks to the road, it’s insane. I have an open-class R-Class tune if you want it, I’ll share it on Forza later if you wanna try it.

I think I did put together a non-aero version of the McLaren 720S, yet, not the Aventador. One of the McLaren versions was w/drive conversion, and, one without. I’ll take a look a the Aventador to see how it’ handle w/o it.

Built up an Aventador for you, and, gave it several laps (while tuning it) @ Suzuka Full Reverse since the HLR Team is hosting this week our Hot Lap Challenge at that track. I built it up for a Homologated setup, of course this can be changed to an open-class as well, just play around with the PI requirements and what best suits tour driving style. Best of Luck!

Build - Sport/355/750 HP/3850 LBS (43%)

Race ARBs, Sport Tranny, Race Diff, Sport Compound, F255/30R20, R355/25R21, Lambo rims (these last 3 are stock), Remove Rear Wing (Lambo)

Tune - 1st pass

Not sure about FM7, but they definitely work in FH4. I noticed it first on the Veyron, and later had trouble with an S1 tuned Aventador LP700-4. Fortunately it has the option for a Liberty Walk wing, which has the same downforce as the stock rear aero (when activated). It lost a bit of top end but is more consistent particularly above retraction speed. The Veyron generates enough downforce it’s obvious even below the deployment speed.

Would be nice to have something in the game code that predicts current usage based on recent speed, throttle, perhaps gear selection and steering inputs, to determine the best use of active aero. I.e. am I in a race, am I cruising, am I on a top-speed run.
