I’ve recently developed an interest in tuning. Unlike most others I like messing with the settings on stock parts because I want to know how much more potential a stock car can have with the right settings. Aero is my main focus here (since it’s easy to tune and gives significant performance boost) and I’ve noticed quite some cars, like the Porsche 911 GT2s and GT3s to name a few, have non-adjustable rear wings despite the fact that they’re adjustable IRL, While cars like the BMW M4 GTS get it right. In fact this is so inconsistent it feels like T10 randomly decided which cars had adjustable stock rear wings and which didn’t.
Another thing that seems rather strange to me is that many high-end sports cars come equipped with street tires (I’ve made sure these are stock by installing stock parts in the homologation menu). I know the tire compounds in Forza aren’t really comparable to those IRL but still, shouldn’t cars like the extremely expensive Lambo Centenario and track-only Pagani Zonda C come equipped with at least sport tires? The BMW M4 GTS and Mercedez AMG GTR, which cost a fraction of the price of those hyper cars, have by default sport tires, which I’d imagine is true to life.
It’s inconsistent as many many other things but it’s only a game. The huge rear wing of the 2018 GT2 RS providing less downforce than the smaller Forza wing for example.
These things are confusing and annoying from time to time but it’s T10 so you learn to live with it. It won’t change.
Speaking of wings, how come when you remove certain cars spoilers the car gains weight? What kind of coding is that? It’s been like that for many Forza games.
It all depends on in which category the parts are classified. For some rallye cars huge hood headlights, chassis attachement are in a category that normally takes things away from the car and thus the car loses weight. This results in your car becoming lighter although you are adding things like headlights/attachments. It’s the same story with some spoilers like you mentionend above.
The Zonda Cinque is not a track only car but an extremely limited edition road car. Probably best not to go on about Turn10 getting details wrong when you aren’t 100% correct yourself.
However i do agree it’s a little frustrating the points you and others have raised. However with this being a Forza game it’s something you get used to - plus let’s be honest the game has some slightly bigger issues than this that I would rather see fixed
