Hello Everyone,
I purchased Forza 7 from Microsoft store a while back and I been searching online as well as on this forum with all the suggestions that was provided so that in multiplayer people could hear me.
I have done the following and yet people can’t hear me.
Nat is open and port forwarding is done properly
Privacy setting for mic is on/enabled and forza 7 has access to mic
sound setting in windows; speakers as default and my single mic or hyper X microphone (two different microphones that work) are set as default depending on which i use.
in Xbox Live party chat I have my default speakers set and for microphone again I’ve tried both settings as well as ensuring the windows setting are also the same but still no luck.
For the mics I have token out the hyper X usb cable and ensured there was only one mic and still no luck.
The only time someone was able to hear me was while inviting a friend to game and party chat and he was the only person who was able to hear me in game through both. Party chat and in game.
I am running this on I7 4GH, 16gb ram and GTX 1070, Realtec on board sound card
Any help is appreciated!!
Hi there! I do not have one of these headsets, but I have come across a couple things which may be helpful to you.
First, please make sure the headset isn’t muted from the dongle.
What model of HyperX headset do you have? If it’s the Cloud II, you may need a firmware update. Be sure to read the instructions first, as you’ll need to uninstall the driver from Device Manager after updating. Also, this headset might not like USB 3.0 ports, so try plugging it in to a USB 2.0 port.
For many of the other HyperX Cloud headsets, there may be an issue with a Windows 10 update for Realtek audio drivers. According to HyperX technical support, “This may be a problem with the Windows 10 update for the Realtek audio drivers. We suggest you update the drivers directly from the Realtek website.”
Please visit HyperX technical support and choose your headset for more information.

Thank you for your response Subterfugem.
The firmware update is only to allow the HyperX HSCP to work with playstation. I have updated the firmware as i also do have a playstation.
I tried using the headset in USB 2.0 and still no luck.
After talking with the HyoerX support then mentioned to check the microphone in a online voice recorder and i know for a fact that the mic works and the headset settings are proper.
The odd thing is that in game i can see the mic turn on when i am speaking but no one can hear me?
