FM5/FH2/FM6 Car Lists ... Side-by-Side Spreadsheet Comparison

Okay, yeah, I can’t believe I actually took the time to do this … but with today’s Forza Garage article unveiling a new group of FM6 cars, thought I’d put a spreadsheet together listing all cars from all three games side-by-side so we can compare car lists. I used the list from the Forza Garage article today for the FM6 list and pulled lists for FM5 and FH2 from Forzamotorsport.wikia.com … so if the car lists aren’t 100% accurate … blame them not me.

I’ve published the spreadsheet on Google Sheets and hopefully you can get to it from the link here:

Forza Car Lists - 8/12/15

If you have any trouble viewing the spreadsheet, let me know.

A couple of notes … (1) I removed the Team Forza cars from FM6 because they’re duplicates of cars already on the list … (2) I noticed there were no RUFs in the FM6 list … I wonder if Porsche made that a requirement before allowing T10 to add their lineup whenever they show up … (3) There were quite a few holes in the FM6 list where we already have cars in FM5 or FH2. Future FM6 DLCs??

Work on them turn 10. 70 more cars from the previous games.

I wouldn’t be deeply worried about holes in the list yet. There’s still (probably) at least two more weekly reveals to go. THEN, after those are done and there’s still some holes, you can.

What do you mean by holes?

I used Wildcat’s word there.

What I mean by holes is cars, types of cars, manufacturers, etc. that have yet to be revealed.

“Imma let you finish, but…” you can download and copy the data from my spreadsheets if it will help make yours go faster.

I avoid using images to put as much data on the screen as possible, but for visual-inclined players, check out Milous’s online database with images of every car and rim from the series. http://www.kudosprime.com/ I assume he’ll be adding the FM6 list by release date.

Aaaah … I knew Max was the king of information around here. Just hadn’t seen anything on here showing the common cars across all the games before. Maybe I missed it. Please continue, Sir Max.

When I saw this thread, your spreadsheets were the first thing I thought of to say to the OP. Great job reminding the OP of your amazing spreadsheets!

So far the only thing I see missing, is the Millionaire cars, a few GT1 cars, The Cover Cars, and the F&F cars.

The millionaire cars are likely this weeks reveal.

Cover cars have already been a confirmed Anniversary car pack.

F&F car pack is already confirmed.

So really there are only maybe 6 cars missing from the old games, COMBINED. My guess as to why, is likely they have been replaced with newer models.

So far, We get the best of both Games, as far as car lists go. Assuming there will be around another 100 cars to reveal, not in packs.

Thats a pretty good showing, honestly, I am happy with the car list.

Interesting tidbit in reviewing Max’s list. Of the 1142 cars that have been or will be in a Forza game, only 22 have been in every Forza game, including FM6. There may be a few more as the rest of the cars are announced but here are the Forza “lifers”.

Max, if you want to check my work create a new column and paste the following formula in row 2. Then copy and past into the rest of the cells.
=IF(AND(OR(F2=“FM6”,F2=“DLC”),G2<>“”,H2<>“”,I2<>“”,J2<>“”,K2<>“”,L2<>“”,M2<>“”),“YES”,“NO”)

Question for Max about the spreadsheet: what does it mean when a car is listed as “possible” or “probable” for FM6? I’m assuming there’s some educated guesses there (like the Abarth 131 – being in both FM5 and FH2 makes it seem like a given, agreed), but what info are you drawing from where some cars like the BMW 507 and Chevrolet Corvair Monza (and the Pantera!) listed as “possible”?

That’s speculation on my part, I was looking to see how the 450 cars might be filled out.

I figure a car like the 1980 Fiat 131 is probable because it’s been in the Xbox One Forza games as well as the previous two Forza Motorsports.
Cars marked “Possible” have potential for being included either because they’re classics (like the BMW 507 or Ford Thunderbird) or because like the DeLorean and De Tomaso the additional manufacturer names would get us to the 80 mentioned by Mechberg. I only count 73 manufacturers revealed so far.
Dan Greenawalt has tweeted that we’ll see over 100 new cars in the roster at launch, so I put “Updated?” on some candidate cars that I thought might see a newer model year appear in FM6 compared to previous games (race cars, or the 2015 Tesla S that has been revealed)

Just guesses for brainstorming.

That makes sense, though as I noted in the Garage Week 7 thread, it’s likely that up to six of those slots could be taken by manufacturers that were in FM5 and/or FH2: Citroen, Holden, Kia, Noble, Robby Gordon, and Ruf. (Assuming Porsche and RAM aren’t counted in that “80 manufacturers” number.) I wouldn’t be surprised if the focus on race cars makes the 7th slot an entirely new manufacturer, and I would be both unsurprised and TOTALLY PSYCHED if that manufacturer was, say, Lola.
