FM5 a letdown?

So many little things to start with. First off, the game seems half finished. Not to say fit and finish isn’t great, but limited selection of cars and tracks, as well as options. So many things missing that would seem so easy as a rough port from FM4 and then cleaned up to work in 5.
Like when tuning, I use to be able to look at specific stats that help me tune. Like a real number of max torque rpm, max power rpm, and redline. All three missing, and it’s not like the data is there, just no where to look at it. Or tuning on the fly during test drive or even looking at data on the telemetry screen while driving. I have to toggle over 5 pages to look a tire pressure, but no where is any indicator of rpm, or gear selection.
And then the lack of cars and tracks. How is that you (Turn10) can work on game for so long and then come up short at launch. All the classic tracks are missing, Road America, Infineon, Maple Valley, Sunset, Tsukuba, and Motegi. 4 launched with 24 tracks and 5 with only 14. And I know FM4 had a ton of DLC vehicles flood the selection, but 5 seems very slim on launch for selection. And then on your first non-premium DLC is only 6 or 7 cars with 3 or 4 being completely useless on a race track in my eyes.
And now the forums have launched. Great, a way for others to talk good and subsequently bad about the game. I understand the intent and content that comes with said forums. But holy hell if I hadn’t already seen 5 or 6 threads locked and edited to complete deletion by the Mods. Let these clowns rant, what do you guys care. Most of us (players) don’t even care what most of these blow hards are on about. Why make us agree to disclaimers about “views are of users opinion and not of Turn10 or Micro-flaccid I mean Microsoft.” If agreed to it let me see some crazy persons one sided delirium induced nonsense. Why edit if we can voice our opinions. Opinion. Do we need to look into a dictionary to know what an opinion is Mods.
And finally multiplayer. What a mess. The ability to boot lobby mates is a joke and I know I’m not the only one that is thinking that. No private controlled lobbies, by the way which was available at the launch at 4. Marketplace says coming soon. The monthly hopper selection hasn’t changed since game launch. With 4 mains, and a only a selection of 4 hoppers in those mains with the exception of the class race hoppers and special event hoppers. But even that feels weak. Like for example, there is only one multiclass hopper with no explanation of how it works. It feels like I race C class about 80% of the time. But the one plus to that is the staggered starts you get in “The ABC’S” in which you are only dealing with 2 or 3 idiots trying to crash you through the first four corners instead of a full 16 player lobby playing demolition derby.
I’m not looking for answers, just solutions for down the road. The game launched with success and we can’t chang what already happened but extra work needs to be done so I can continue to brag about FM5 and it being the premiere racing game on any console.
I lied. I want one answer. Did the game get rushed, did it fall behind, or was the decision to cut corners a ploy to develop the game at less cost or a way to bilk us out of our hard earned video game budget money on stuff that should have been there at the start?
Just saying and thank you for reading,

I stopped there, because you have clearly no idea just how much development differs between the xbox 360 and xbox one.

This thread is a let down.

Seems to lack some of the content from the previous versions of this thread.

Rushed? Or purposely held back for a thread expansion? Either way, I’m not going to pay for this post. Grrrrrr.

XD

this mentality negates your whole thread. don’t matter how many valid points you do or do not make. blatant unimaginative cheap name calling like that makes no one take you seriously.

Holy Wall-o-text. You were mad when you wrote this weren’t you? Surely there has to be something other than the staggered starts that you like about the game. The demolition derby, well that problem exists somewhere between the user and the controller.

the man is correct tho the game is a let down

I guess it depends what your expectations were.

In terms of driving physics & visuals, it’s streets ahead of anything else available on consoles, but you could argue the content is a little on the light side.

no mate the physics are all wrong aswell it has been badly made the online is a joke no gifting tunes. it is like the game has taken a major step back

IME, Forza 5’s tyre and weight transfer physics are pretty much up there with the best PC racing sims, but anyway, I’m going to argue with you, so we’ll have to agree to disagree.

you dont need tyres on fm5 it handles to good its about speed cars most of it

Sorry, I can’t make any sense of that sentence.

The game is an excellent launch title.

Is it perfect? No.

We need to understand that Turn 10 was under immense pressure to meet their deadlines. We could list a ton of things that are missing from FM4.

OR

We could celebrate the strides that T10 have made in console racers. For me, it is worth the price of the X1 and the limited edition.

And the scary part is that it is just going to keep on getting better with Horizon and FM6

Great, a way for others to talk good

Lol…and type good to
and yet here you are…blowing hard
Isn’t a solution really just an answer?

You come here often? Just curious. This post has been made about 23,000 times give or take.

I wouldn’t call FM5 a let down, as i have certainly put my fair amount of game time into it, but i definitely wouldn’t list it in my top 10 games to play, because of a heavy lack of content, and those drivatars ruin the single player experience for me. and other dirty drivers ruin multiplayer as well. i spend most of my time doing rivals time attacks, testing cars to see if i can beat the leaderboard cars haha

all i can say is LOL as the game is boring already shame
