Set up a suggestion for a track day session. Now we need to drive players there and vote that sucker up up up!
Just miss a private lobby browser ā¦
Actually you have to search a tickets on āclubā (Xbox) for find a lobby, if theyāre one who interest you (not Always the case) but thatās not all, one day i was looking for a low class lobby, found one, and Host kicked me because " i donāt have a mic " .
So i have no mic, even if I had one, iām not especially here for talk, + theyāre english and me not so i understand 20% of what they said (oral), and thatās why Iām kicked from a lobby.
Definitely need a browser, you search your class, your track, or look what exist, and you go.
You should add Race Cars to the Builders Cup and Endurance Races as well the E to X Class events.
Will you try this HARD challenge?!
I donāt see in the release notes any fix for the most annoying issues and problems this game has!
- Skip animation in pits exploit / cheat
- Track limits in Mid-Ohio first corner
- Multiplayer replays does not work, after 4 months of the release date.
- Steam users cannot import liveries from previous titles (I spent +40hours creating vinyls in FH5 for this game before launch)
- Shader compilation every time the game launches (with an RTX3070 and all driver, OS,⦠updated)
- The game halves the performance after some races, restarting the game fixes it (there is memory leaks somewhere)
All of these should be hotfixes and not unsolved major problems after 5 patches!!
As for the game characteristics and gameplay, we are still missing:
-
Statistics of any kind (there are in the game, as the odometers of the cars save the mileage. It just that nothing is showed to the player - nĀŗ of races, avg position, mileage,ā¦)
-
Single player career mode where all the things that the release trailer of this game shows are present (race cars, pit strategy, tyre wear, qualifyingā¦) There is nothing!!!
-
AI, penalties, matchmaking system and car progression not from an alpha status game
The current status of the game is really sad. After see the 24h of Daytona this weekend, I would love to try an endurance race of 2-3 hours with fast-forward timing. Then I realize that this is not possible due all the things that does not work in the game!!! (AI and lapped cars, no tyre and fuel wear in single player, no qualy mode, ridiculous pit exitā¦)
Speed up with the hotfixing and patching T10, and announce solution to all that is broken or this game would be definitely DEAD after half year of the release.
I donāt see any mention of Nürburgring, unless Iām blind.
Itās not to spite us. They promised a certain visual quality, and mislead us about it running on the consoles at the time, before they actually finished optimising any of it or knew that it would actually be possible to do on console.
Most of the downgrades were likely to get it running well on console, but 1st party Xbox titles (especially forza) have a trend of refusing to let PC outshine the console graphical quality, which means PC is stuck with the pointless downgrades too.
A lot of this seems like the sort of things a marketing department or higher ups at Microsoft would be pushing for to make the consoles look as good as possible without giving the time or budget to actually achieve what they want
To be fair, you could just say Playstation has generally outsold Xbox by a wide margin.
I kinda wonder if the game would have been substantially different if Forza Motorsport was still a halo game for Xbox. If maybe there would have been more support from daddy Microsoft to push the graphical fidelity further and such. But I guess the strategy these days with Game Pass is quantity, not quality.
We are talking aboutā¦? Sorry, didnāt understand your reply
Of course. It will be carnage though.
try this
Which still doesnāt solve the problem of having enough resources to use said unlocks. If youāre still having to grind to Level 30 just to be able to use everything that unlocked at Level 2, what was the point of the changes in the first place?
There simply is no fix for CarPG that makes any more sense than getting rid of it completely. That much is devastatingly obvious to someone who has no experience in game development. But it would appear that this crew has yet to understand that. And unfortunately, I have yet to play an RPG that didnāt completely overhaul their mechanics to break up metas (and thus, break a lot of other things in the process). Thatās part of the reason why racing games tend to not be RPGs. Turn 10 can either deal with the pain now, do what Breakpoint did, and go back to what worked priorā¦or they can keep putting it off and itās going to hurt a lot worse for them when they ultimately end up being forced to do it anyway.
I canāt wait for Februaryās livestream!
Any news?!
What cars will we see for carpass and autoshow?!
Whatās next for builders ?!
Itās not ideal, but I would welcome the change while they figure out how to remove the car leveling mechanics.
But itās a change that would do nothing on its own. For example, you want to put race tyres on currently then the barrier isnāt the fact that they unlock at Level 3. Itās that you only have enough points to put them on at Level 11. That wonāt change if all parts are unlocked immediately.
They could then also change it so that the starting points haul was 3,000 rather than 300 I guess. That would start to look a bit more sensible as you could at least put some parts on immediately. If they then accelerated the time to go up each level, thatās probably a bearable solution.
I have 400 milliom credits for Forza 7ā¦Let me transfer to FM 23 , change the leveling syterm and Im good.
I do hope that they realize the trouble consists of the TWO in-game ācurrenciesā, both CarXP and CarPoints⦠Not just the commonly complained about CarXP.
Unlocks mean zero when I donāt have enough of yet ANOTHER currency to use the unlocked parts.
Just my opinion: Multiple layers of in-game currencies are a bad design choice. Keep it simple. One currency (credits) or else just unlock something after completing a point of progress, and done forever. If it unlocked, I can access, afford, use⦠NOW.
This is sadly so common in games these days. Iāve been playing a golf game lately, and there must be at least half a dozen currencies. Earning them, rewarding them, and spending them in convoluted ways to keep the player āengagedā and busy starting the game daily or whatever nonsense.
Again, just IMO⦠Make the game design offer simple accessibility, freedom of access, and most of all FUN. Iāll keep coming back for years.
Another Microsoft game⦠Flight Simulator. How many years have I played. Decades, stretching back to the 1990s. Never had to earn a single XP point or currency once in that whole series.
Keep it simple.
Well thereās the bit I said about reducing the lvl 50 grind to an hour, which is more or less 1 career event. And thatās similar to being cash strapped in a credit economy and retains the ābuildā part of the Builderās Cup.
Whether itās obvious the whole CarPG is a failed experiment or not (it is) I think is somewhat beside the point now. The core of the game is coded around it so to change it basically means remaking the game, I just donāt see them doing it.
Indeed, and I wonder how much PlayStation owes its success to its great games like Gran Turismo.
ā¦Itās a console-selling title/series - lots of people buy PlayStation primarily to play GT.
The first/original Halo game was an Xbox exclusive, and thereās no doubt it was a major contributor to the consoleās early success.
Other Xbox-exclusive titles like Forza Motorsport & Gears of War later helped Xbox & Xbox 360 gain a substantial foothold in the console market.
ā¦But now, despite going multi-platform (Xbox & PC) to extend their reach, previous console-sellers like Halo, FM, & GoW have fumbled - perhaps contributing to Xboxās falling market share.
Microsoft seems to have forgotten that without great games, gamers have no interest in buying game consoles or game service subscriptions.
