they have the audacity of calling this an update ![]()
Like many already stated, this is not an “update”, or at least it’s not a major update. Many other games, at least from what I’ve experienced on Steam, have a different system of naming updates. There are usually “small updates” for little patches, that fix bugs and issues that occur right after a “regular update” or “major update” is released. Regular updates are updates that feature content or dlc content and major updates are fundamental changes to the game, like graphics, physics, AI, etc.
The way Forza has titled their updates (also FH) is just another reason why people are disappointed, cause it is never immediately clear how much content to expect, when one update has major AI changes, a huge new map and new MP modes like Update 20, and another has nothing like Update 22.
Communication was one of the issues from the very beginning and even 2 years in, seemingly nothing has changed. Assuming there will not be a next FM title, there is still a chance that with the Xbox anniversary next year we will get some kind of actual content update, but there is also a good chance that they will focus on FH6 for that, as that will bring Xbox a lot more money.
This is really sad, one of the few cross platform titles now at it’s end, let’s just hope Project Motor Racing is gonna be something.![]()
Using 1,500+ words to describe this “update” seems comically excessive just to essentially say: “nothing new.”
This should be the final nail in the coffin to voiced hopes like “FM 2.0 update”.
The game is EOL. Reactivation of only old stuff isn’t an update. If T10 still had any honesty and backbone left, they would say so bluntly instead of putting on such a show.
Simply call it done officially.
To be fair this is completely in line with other tone deaf announcements.
Yup, kind of what I was expecting.
If there’s any good news to the updates it hopefully gives the desperate fans the answer they’ve been craving. Hopefully they can finally move on now.
Oh well, NVM.
Im not mad, just disappointed.
This is as disappointing as WWE’s Wrestlemania to Saudi announcement.
This is embarrassing.
I’ve already uninstalled and removed from library months ago.
Rest in Pixels FM
This is the most bestest news I’ve heard, like EVER!!! Said nobody ever. ![]()

Every other update had new content and or fixes for the game. This “update 22” has neither, therefore this is more or less just then adding back past tours and thats about it
A bunch of events that never should have been removed and we are timed gated to be able to play, WOW! PMR is coming before the events are going to be available and I will be out finally, for good. The singleplayer career is shaping up to be the real deal in PMR.
Until January? I didn’t expect such optimism from you!
Tis a shame though, as FM isnt even 2 years old yet.
Im on the Endurance Tour ATM, then once thats done its just the Invitational Tour to do, with the occasional dip into MP.
I don’t think there gonna have updates… It’s gonna be just the same thing Like Update 21
Is it true that Update 23 is gonna be the same thing Just like Update 21? Like back-date? Cuz It’s Not gonna be new cars or new tracks btw…
I’m not sure if there’s Update in January…
@T10ManteoMax is this the new plan for future updates, or can we get some form of conformation that there will be actual content coming in future updates?
Even a new series with cars already in the game would be great!
It appears the rumors are true. FM23 is in eol. That’s a shame.
That’s Pretty good actually! So is it true if there’s gonna be in update 23 next year or just the same thing?
