As most of you know, today we released our most recent DLC pack and content update for Forza Motorsport 5. You can read all about the DLC – the Hot Wheels Car Pack – over here.
In addition to all the new cars, we’ve got some other updates in this CU, including some new challenges – one of which is the Silverstone Grand Prix, which kicks off in two days. Just as with our previous challenges, you can earn a new badge and title for your FM5 profile by completing this challenge (complete a race in the Silverstone Grand Prix Hopper and drive at least 125 miles in the event).
We have also made improvements to Drivatar traffic behavior in the game. Drivatar is a continuously evolving feature and we have learned a tremendous amount since the launch of Forza 5. Most recently, as we have placed Drivatars on the open roads of Forza Horizon 2, our understanding and refinement of the feature has given us the opportunity to continue to advance and improve Drivatar behavior in our games.
Kudos to Turn 10 for taking the feedback from earlier threads on the lack of update notes and acting on it! A sign of a successful company. Keep up the good work guys!
I just wanted to say thank you very much for the constant updates. The game had a few more flaws initially than the last couple of iterations (including a couple that meant I kept going back to Forza 4 for a bit), but for a new console release this wasn’t a complete surprise, and the constant evolution has massively improved things. Some of the new tracks (especially the new Nurburgring+GP, and Road America too) are brilliant. And introducing Spa, Bathurst, an updated Silverstone, and Prague to the series means the track selection has been unfairly criticised in my opinion. Also, Open Wheel has given a far larger variety of car than we had previously, which is awesome. With the 2 extra packs, the Car Pass has been well worthwhile too, really pleased I got it again, as I was in Forza 4 (Forza Horizon seemed too expensive though, still pleased I abstained on that one). Anyway, keep up the good work.
Re-introducing Car Grouping and improved searching/filtering in the garages (like ordering by Handling or Accel) as was available in Forza 4 would be much appreciated, but I digress.
Hey, I was expecting this to be a quick note when I started, what happened… so back to it… thank you very much, keep up the good work. I’ll now definitely be continuing to support the series in future, so hopefully that says enough.
Thank you for the updates and listening to community inputs.
For some reason, after I received the update and t he DLC pack, my tokens have disappeared (All one of them) and it won’t let me purchase the cars for free…
I have just purchased the new dlc hot wheels and now when I go to my garage my cars from all the other car packs dlc i have purchased are in there but to use them it asks me to pay cash again to use them ?
Is this to do with the update ?
Yes, thanks for the continued work on the game. We could all debate what should have or could have been at launch but its really meaningless. What is meaningful is that Turn 10 sees the issues and continues working hard to improve the experience to make this game everything it can be, so again, thank you!
