FM Community Update | October 17 Update 1.0

Why am I not surprised.

Either they are being told to inflate playtime metrics or the manufacturers dislike players making changes to their cars and they had to develop this system to keep us from doing so.

I’m so cynical about this game (and gaming in general lately) that I am going to let this collect more dust on my hard drive.

Haven’t played at all for a week now. It’s looking like that will continue until they remove this atrocious grind wall just to be allowed to mod cars how I choose, when I choose.

FM is dead. They lost it. Sad days for Xbox Simcade lovers.
The FM8 fraud will remain in my memory forever.

Not Every Racing Game Can please Everyone there’s plenty of other Sim Racing Games out there Not Just Forza Motorsport I Do Agree the Grind is a Bit much But a Large Portion of The Fan Base wanted Progression So Don’t Ruin it for Those Players that wanted progression Asking it To be Removed

disappointing that this does not appear to address whatever is allowing people to bring higher-class cars into lobbies. this is an issue that should have led to an all-hands on deck response from turn 10. it is wrecking multiplayer.

Sooo … Safe to say no visual improvements or audio improvements?

They improved shadow somehow

and that flickering is so annoying

The flickering happens on both performance and performance RT, doesn’t it?

Only seen in P-RT but now u have other crap in Performance

Yeh, performance mode has its share of glitches too.

Second patch incoming soon hopefully.

Nothing improved for me with this patch. Still the same terrible graphics, poor framerates and freeezes in upgrade menu. Running on PC with Ryzen 5800X and RTX3080.

This mess is going to take a long time to be fixed, such a shame :frowning:

Did they fix anything on the Known Issues list?

Idk what they do… Downloaded patch started game not even 5min in and discovered 3+ new bugs without even looking for stuff

You’ve always been able to slowly build a car; the game just didn’t prescribe exactly how to do it.

Now everyone has to slog through a needless grind.

[EDIT] A compromise: Cars keep their 50 levels. All parts and enough ChorePoints to fully modify each car are unlocked within a 5-race series in the Builder’s Cup. Let’s call that reaching level 25 for a car. For each subsequent level after 25, ChorePoints are banked and can be applied to a duplicate of that vehicle so those who want multiples can simply buy and build immediately.

This👌🏻
I have a full time job and a playtime per week of about 6 to 8 hours. I like to enjoy driving, not grinding. They do so many things for disabled people but if you have a real life with job and familiy you’re screwed.

Testing graphics settings, managed to get a crash during the test immediately after enabling FSR 2.0 Quality. This never happened before the patch after dozens of tests.

My Game on PC since Update…

It worked today before update so idk
