Sorry guys didn’t see this thread hence posted my own :frowning:

Totally pissed off at my saving grace Project cars getting delayed !!! absolutely GUTTED !!!

I am so pissed with Turn10 making nearly every dam leader board car DLC it’s a joke and i refuse to pay for it, it’s a piss take.

They seriously need to do something to get this back on track.

Mainstream gamers = lots more $$$ for T10.

I didn’t care that much spending some extra money for a game that I play a lot but after the day 1 DLC I had the feeling T10 gave me/us the finger, or rather both.

I have to say that I am feeling the same way.

I rented Horizon 2 and after playing for about an hour, I was bored to death.

Thankfully, I didn’t and don’t plan to buy it

Wish fm5 got more, as I played that game for 7 months straight

It looks to me like the FM5 community has really fizzled out here.

In the FM5 general discussion the oldest post on the first page hasn’t been touched in 7 days. On the Horizon 2 general discussion forum the oldest post on the first page has been updated in the last 12 hours.

Looks like most people have moved on from FM5 by now.

Horizon is nothing like FM5. It’s not even in the same ball park. Just because Horizon is being discussed more does not give a true indication about how people feel about FM5. The fact that general discussion on FM 5 hasn’t been touched in days reflects that players probably feel T10 really don’t listen to what is being discussed in the forums.

I never compared the two games - I compared activity on the forums.

The primary purpose of the forums is for players to interact with other players - not for players to interact with Turn10. Turn10 isn’t going to keep the forums lively - it’s players who are into the game and playing every day and talking about the game every day that will keep the forums active. It’s pretty clear that’s not happening anymore. Why is certainly up for debate.

it’s also a place for players to express their opinions about the games and this is what appears to be happening.

I must apologise if it seems like I’m ranting but i’m passionate about FM and would never like to think that FM could become the underdog to , dare I say, Gran Turisimo.

Reading the WIR you could be forgiven for thinking that Forza Motorsport 5 no longer existed. T10 have walked away and so have many of the players. The former in denial, the latter in disgust at the gimping of so many of the core features that drew them to the franchise in the first place. I have my doubts it will survive twelve months of complete neglect. Oh well, it was good while it lasted, but the writing has been on the wall for a while now.

I wouldn’t hold my breath for any update on FM5 any time soon with 2015 in the distant future. We can hope but honestly, T10’s future is FM6 and what it brings. I pray with the next release the cost vs. content doesn’t fall in the lacking department. FM5 was a bait-n-show test of what the engine could bring but there was much distress caused when T10 ended any hopes of an xbox360 update from FM4…that’s where the core user base was in all honesty - even the online community disappeared.

Until Forza 6 comes out, our options are, either go back to Forza 4 (much better game overall) or enjoy this Prologue/Beta version that we have now.

It’s always amazing to go back to Forza 4. I’m still having tons of fun with it. I spent a few hours playing it yesterday, R390 GT1 around Suzuka? 458C around Camino? Suzuki Monster on Fujimi? Hell yeah. Plus, the menus are like 10 times faster compared to Forza 5. Really glad I didn’t sell my 360 when I bought the One.

I mentioned it awhile ago that there are a bunch of new wheels in FH2 that could easily be added to FM5 since they’re already modeled. Even something as simple as that would breath a little bit of new life into this game. I’ve been playing FH2, but will be back to this soon and having some new wheels to fit to my cars would be a little bit of something at least.

Unfortunately, I feel that T10 has probably turned their attention towards the development of Forza 6 and the only thing we might see out of Forza 5 now is small updates hear and there, but nothing to change the overall experience. It’s sad, but true and it’s the way with every franchised game.

UUgghh… Kinda wish I still had my previous Xbox 360 so I could return to Forza4 but I gave the old 360 to my nephew (plus Forza4) when I purchased my Xbox One with Forza 5. Personally, I have my complaints with 5 as do many others but there was/is still much potential for FM5. I feel certainly that in the future T10 will be working on what should become FM6 but it would still be nice if 5 could be resuscitated temporarily with an update.

Just glad to know I’m not alone in not being a Horizon fan. Sure, I’m excited for the weather effects and night driving (which has been lacking in Forza titles) but I’m an enthusiast of the Grand-Am Rolex series, TUDOR United Sportscar Championship, and DTM racing. I don’t want to imagine myself racing a Ferrari 458 at 150 mph through a rolling cornfield or a barnyard. : - D

Does anyone actually know that there will be a Forza 6 ?
I sure haven’t seen an official announcement of anything past Horizon 2.

No there has not been an official announcement for FM6 but history shows that we can probably assume there will be a FM6 release in fall of 2015. FM1 came out in '05, FM2 in '07, FM3 in '09, FM4 in '11 and FM5 in '13. As you can see there is a definite 2 year pattern between release of Motorsport games.

Horizon 2 only just come out. They aren’t going to officially mention Forza Motorsport 6 until next year

As someone who picked up Fm5 on day one and specifically bought the xboxone for the game i must say my considered opinion after the first day was that someone had just stolen the shirt from my back. Whatever the excuses given for the colossal drop in content over FM4 the fact was that FM5 was a pale imitation of what we paying customers had come to expect. Fountains of guff about new physics and laser scanning is all well and good but that fact is development planning was poor. Microsoft obviously told T10 to create a track with scenery to boggle customers brains. Thus Prague, while exquisite to look at , soaked up development time to the detriment of the rest of the game. The circuit isnt that demanding but by goodness it looks good as you charge round.

Time would have been better used upgrading some of the fantasy tracks (Maple Valley, Sunset Peninsula etc. etc.etc.) to give a little more track content from the get go. People complaining now about the paucity of content should have seen the game on day one. But it wasnt just the lack of tracks. The in game menus were and mostly still remain clonky, unwieldy and blatantly untested before launch. As soon as word got out i imagine plenty of 360 owners decided to stick right there. The jump in visual quality from 4 to 5 is not the chasm many would have you believe. Run FM4 through a high quality tv and its still a drop dead visual feast.

While tuners got credited within the game for time spent tuning, the same could not be said of the painters. The rot was already in for the decline in painters. Couple that to the dropping of the Auction House and player Storefront and the scene was set for a decline in top painting. As someone who sold tens of thousands of cars in FM4 a lot of my fun was killed stone dead. On top of this the clubs and club garages were dropped as well. There was absolutely no excuse for this omission. Purely and simply somebody got it wrong.

Sadly for those of us living in expectation of a reiteration of the FM4 format for FM6 this wont happen. fM5 has sold too well in its dumbed down, quasi arcade style format forvthat to be dropped. Most likely there will be some new tracks along with the likelihood of a small mountain of optional micro transactions to squeeze that extra bit of cash out of us.

If i dont see the return of Porsche, at least twenty additional tracks and the return of the auction house and storefront, and the club garage i will take my not inconsiderably large bag of cash elsewhere.
