FLAWED credit system and tedious racing

start buying every part for every car.

I do wish the Auction House was back for Forza 5, and unicorns as well. And I believe the storefront is messed up now too, with everything free (correct me if I’m wrong). If Forza 5 was a better Forza 4 (feature-wise) there would be no doubt I’d have an Xbox One - but it isn’t. Something to work towards is always nice, and this game doesn’t have it. For FH2/FM6, I hope Turn 10 puts these features back in.

Items are free for the user.

The game pays the creator if the item is used enough. If the payouts and usage were set at appropriate levels then the money side of things would be ok.

The main issues with the storefront/sharefront are more to do with difficulty finding items (for example you can not search for painter x’s complete works as the search engine is locked to a single car at a time) and difficulty managing your own items.

EDIT: It is designed around the theory that you buy a car, get a paint for it, get a tune for it and then drive it. Problem is people often want to go back afterwards and find new paints or they find a favorite painter and want to look for other items by that painter etc and that is when the system gets clunky or can’t even deliver the same searches we used in FM4.

All games come to an end. If you have played it since day one of Forza 5, it’s not a bad run for your money. How many other games do you ever still play this long after release?

Personally, I don’t find it boring in any way. I didn’t get it until January, but I reckon I’ll still play it daily–or almost–several months from now. I spend most of my time designing cars, and haven’t finished all the bonus races in career yet, so I still have plenty of racing to do. And I still enjoy Rivals racing, racing with buddies, and an occasional public multiplayer lobby from time to time.

My only reason to not play a Forza game anymore would be the release of another Forza game. And even then, I usually play them both for quite some time.

I still play FIFA 14 and Battlefield 4 and was still playing Forza 4 from release date til the Xbox One came out, i havent played Forza 5 since last month, So yeah the game has got boring VERY fast considering how much i played all the other FM’s and didnt get bored of them this quickly
Also 30M cr cars is just stupid and it wouldnt add anything to the game and people will just complain that some cars cost 30M anyway

Well, we all have our opinions on how boring or endless hours of fun Forza 5 still is/has. The community still lacks the numbers it had in previous Forza games, but that should change for the better once September comes when the Xbox One opens up in 20+ more countries. Right now, the Forza 5 community is severely limited to the released markets and to the faithful players who imported a console and the game so we could play.

Microsoft’s release plans for the Xbox One messed up for a lot of the early games’ player communities, but this should soon be back to what it should’ve been from day one last October.

Just because MS will release the Xbox One in 20+ markets still wont make this game near FM4, all that will happen is that more people get the game and that results in more Wreckers in lobbies as actual Forza fans already have the game, MS didnt mess up my community of friends as most of my friends were from UK or US, the only thing that messed up my community was FM5, after FM4 70% of the people i raced with are now doing some sort of PC gaming like Project C.A.R.S, IRacing etc

I didn’t say it would be like Forza 4. If people could only stop and appreciate Forza 5 for what it is. Comparing it to Forza 4 won’t change the differences. You either don’t enjoy Forza 5 and stop playing it, don’t enjoy it but play anyway, or play it and enjoy it for what it is without constantly comparing it to any other game.

As for actual Forza fans already having the game, the importing of the console and game isn’t without complications to a lot of people (“real” fans or not), and being able to set things up so they can actually purchase DLCs is even more complicated. Having an Xbox One support system in your own country and being able to make online purchases have so far been deal breakers to a lot of people who have wanted to import a console. This may not affect you if all your friends are already inside a supported country, but the community will change in September, and while there no doubt will be wreckers entering the arena, it was the same thing in the countries where the system was released on day one.

I can appreciate FM5 for what it is but in my opinion its not something that’s good, also as you say the community will change in September, How will the community change and what will that add to the game?

And, this doesn’t sound tedious to you?

Nope! Why not make it $100,000,000 per car.
For the record I’m not bored with the game at all. I would like to have something my friends don’t, though.

Then make a design for your car/cars that makes it/them absolutely unique. If you make a really intricate design, you’ll be even MORE not bored! And you’ll have your friends drooling over your car that they can’t have (until they bribe you to share it). :stuck_out_tongue:

Agreed, if I didn’t have a league to race in, Forza would be very boring to me.

I do think the credit system has been a little put out of whack. I have no problem with the amount of credits we earn now after they tweaked it a bit to give us more. I think they messed up though with the giving us the first DLC car we get from the dealership for free. And I think they dropped the price a little too much on a lot of the pricier cars. I myself now have 16,000,000cr with barely anything to spend them on. And I wont have to buy any of the cars from the dealership with the next DLC because they will be free at the dealership for the first one you get.

As for the game becoming tedious, nah. I think the game is just a joy to play and the cars just a joy to look at even just looking at them in Forzavista.

Thank the guys who jumped up and down after 2 weeks from release that after 5 days racing they could not buy the Lotus E21. Earning cars and rewards has been taken away…which is another “shine” taken away from the series.

very true.

and i have no intention of buying every car in the game, just for the sake of it - especially when you cant even sort your garage like you could in FM4.

I’m currently bored of the game. To enjoy it a bit more, ive turned to a bit of painting. I don’t think ill ever be able to match the likes of totlxtc and AB, but in enjoying the progress im making at it.

Exactly the same. I had to turn to painting as well.

I cant see how you can get bored if into racing, as a group we are at the end of a S class series that has lasted 3 months (race every sunday) then after we’re going to start an Indy series which again will last about 3 months, after that we’re looking at GT cars, P class, or A class series, there’s endless amount of options with all the different style cars in Forza.
