Playing the the Xbox One version and the game crashes every time during the first car meet cut scene. She finishes her dialogue, it says matchmaking in the corner of the screen and then hangs for a few seconds and crashes back to the home screen. It’s a repeatable bug, crashes every time. Tried all the usual off and on, unplugging and replugging nonsense, still broke.
What’s the fix?

Getting really frustrated with an otherwise good game, I love the Forza series and have played them all since the original game.
I have spent my day frustrated to the brink of nearly shredding the game disc.
When I get the invite to the Nice Massena car meet, I drive there and hear the girl talk. After she gets her phone call the game crashes.
I have tried to turn the xbox of at the mains, uninstalled the game and re-installed but nothing works, it always crashes at the same place.
I’m at a point where I am thinking of abandoning playing and as a result falling out with the brand 
Anyone suffering from the same issue, does anyone know how to resolve it?
I can see a lot of people have gotten past it so it is not a ‘everyone is affected bug’.

I am getting the same thing at the moment. I have tried a few things but they have not worked.
I have been having exactly the same problem. This needs sorting as I am now pulling my hair out. I have deleted the game, deleted all game saves including what’s in the cloud., reset my console, you name it I have trolled the forums and tried it and still nothing. Enough is enough now.
On another note my daughter has a profile on my Xbox one and she started a game of FH2 and has managed to get past this point and carry on playing (she finds it so funny I DONT) she has had no freeze ups at all (so far)
So how can the main account holder not play the game and a secondary account holder can??..

Same thing was happening to me earlier, so I checked my network settings on my XB1, and it was strict. After I hard reset it by holding the power button for a few seconds, it was open again after the system booted back up. I was able to do a few online road trips with no issue. Hope this helps.
My NAT settings are on open so that’s not the issue with me.,The girl answers her phone and leaves then the screen locks up and theres a loud humming noise then it crashes.
What is annoying me the most about this. Is the fact I can not do anything now in the game. Because I can not get past this.

Yes still happening on mine. Was loving the game up until that point too
I have deleted the whole game again and the Xbox one save and the cloud save and checked that there is no FH2 on my console at all .
Then reinstall the game wait for it to completely install and start all over again.
So from the beginning all ok up to the car meet again woman talks answers phone walks off and just as one of the men starts to lift his leg BANG ITS FROZEN AGAIN then wait and of we go again back to Xbox home screen.
Me and my friend forza horizon 2 is freezing make bad sounds the screen goes different colors reset’s some of the stuff i did in the game even now its saying iv done it o ready like roads cleared on the map showing that iv not done it it freezed on me 8 times since iv had it
Same problem for me can play online races fine but as soon as I go into the first car meet it gets to the end of the cut scene and crashes. Anyone had any luck fixing this ?

I have just returned my copy of FH2 and got another nice new day one copy.
I have again deleted all saves from Xbox one and the cloud and deleted the game as well .
It is now being installed as I type, will let you all know in a hour or so (if it works it might be longer 
)
Well I took my copy of the disc round my sons house. He has an xbox1 with a downloaded copy of the game. I used my profile on his machine and inserted my disc… It did the car meet scene first time I left the car meet and returned to the hub so it could save the game to the cloud. hopefully with that cut scene out of the way I should be able to get on and play the game.

Hi was having the same problems I took my game down to my sisters got past the meet up saved it got home out game in and bang it worked wish I did it sooner
