Hey guys.
I’m new to the Xbox one as I received it as a Christmas present this year and yesterday I bought undoubtably my favourite game for the console that is currently out. This is when I ran into an issue with the game freezing at the end of the first car meet cutscenes in Nice. I’ve googled the issue and have seen many with the same problem but I can’t find a working fix. Is this issue fixable or should I just give up and go back to my 360?
Could anyone help me with this? It’s stopping me playing the game and I also bought vip and the storm island expansion and I cannot use them. Currently very disappointed with this.
Yea im having a similar issue but its when ever i enter a car meet/parking lot it freezes for 3-4 seconds then shuts the game down.
tried uninstall and re install no hope
started a new game thought save might be the issue but still having the issue when going to the first car meet
seemed all fine before i updated it
Exact same problem yet I don’t know who to contact about this because I want to play and enjoy the game ASAP
guys i got round it not saying it will work long term but to get you pass this bit
try taking your XB1 over a friends house and linking it up to thier internet and try it, it seem to a be an internet settings issue for me anyway but im now passed that nice meet but i cant go in any parking lot as it still freezes
If you were playing around Christmas time there were various XBL issues which would cause this problem.
I would try to uninstall and re-install the game (leave your save data) and attempt to pass the car meet. If this doesn’t work, try starting over again - I know it’s a pain, but luckily you’re not too far in to have it be a huge kill.

Fingers crossed my game didn’t freeze even I went to that car meet on New Year’s Day. Since then I haven’t had any problems thus far except the achievement for getting all of the skill points being stuck on 98% (not quite sure why that is /
Hi guys I have the same issue freezes at the nice grey screen tried to play without storm island and it freezes when I left the car show room tried number of things nothing works spoke to xbox support on twitter they said the more people who raise the issue with things they have tried the more they can get to the bottom of the issue
I am also having problems with the first car meet freezing at the end of the cutscene. I’ve paid for the storm island expansion and i’m not able to use it so i just want a way to fix the game. thanks.

I have the same issue on the xbox one.
I have tried everything that has been mentioned and got no were.
But I did get through it this morning after deleting everything, all saves, console and cloud and user account. Sounds scary but easily recovered.
Load game do what needs to be done to get to the car meet then hit the dash before entering the game mode. Remove account then load game up again. This will ask you to use an account, choose your account and go through the process. Don’t hang around . Click through everything fast, not fast, fast, just don’t worry about seeing gamer pick or menu colour. I first did this and it synced my account and got no we’re. If the game syncs then it didn’t work. If done correctly you will start the car meet and in my case , no freeze but no progress. It would not search match preferences. I backed out and game continued.
BUT… I noticed that this was an online feature. With means it not needed for game to continue. …
I believe that if you go to horizon hub and change championship the game will progress.
We all are in the Ferrari yes. Last race for that car and next step is to go to car meet. But don’t bother, drive to horizon hub change to another championship and game should continue. Then check out the new car meet and you will see its an online feature. Once you have tried this go back and try 1st car meet. You will see it is optional.
Hope this works for you all as I was really frustrated over all this.

OK … Scratch that. . Turned it off, had tea, came back loaded up and guess what… now it freezes at the second car meet… IM OVER THIS.
Looks like we wait till they fix this error. Seems the new dlc is causing issues too so hopefully not long till someone gets to work on theses problems.

Game is freezing at first car meet.
I have tried everything to fix this problem and after spending another day on it still nothing. I’m not the only one with this issue and we are all very frustrated.
Can’t continue the game without getting passed this freeze. Sounds like new dlc Storm Island is freezing up too.

I’ve downloaded Forza Horizon 2 as it was free with Xbox Live Gold. However I’m utterly disappointed with the way the game keeps crashing even after 4 years of release. My game freezes and eventually crashes back to the Xbox home screen when I enter the first car meet in Nicè.
I’ve tried everything, hard reset, uninstall and reinstall, using different accounts and nothing has seemed to work. This seems to have been a common problem when the game first released yet it still happens 4 years later.
Please I would like some advice on what to do as this is a great game, but poorly supported, because glitches from 4 years ago are still in the game. Please fix this, because I’m very frustrated with this.
