That would depend on some things.
Are you both buying one copy or one for the two of you.
If you both buy one you are good for sure however,
If you both share the game I think if it is on the same console family / friends can play as well but not sure if both get the ultimate package though, one may be standard and if you both have Xbox Ones I don’t think there is any way to go without buying 2 ultimate editions.
Also keep in mind I may be wrong on this too.
Yeah we were going to buy one digitally and than file share it. hoping that since the game being shared is the “ultimate edition”, we’d both get the early access.
I own two consoles and regularly play on both. I travel a bit for work and don’t want to carry one back and forth so I have two. Console A is set as my “Home Xbox” and Console B is not. Console B is at my house.
Any digital game I buy, including DLC, automatically begins an install on Console A (assuming there is room) and I manually install it on Console B. Everything works just fine on both at all times.
I know you can play both games with one game purchased but I doubt that they can both play together at the same time. This is kind of what I was saying but I did not do a good job expressing that. LOL
That’s the thing - they could both play at the exact same time; however, only the gamertag that purchased the item would have early access and VIP.
For example, I have Dragonball Xenoverse as a digital copy (no digital Forza games yet, what can I say, I like the disc). My nephew can play on my home console at his house and I can play on the console at my house and we can play together, at the same time.
