I have been wondering lately, which of the NASCAR’S from the expansion pack is most popular.
My idea to test this is to take one design and spread them on every car from the expansion, (one design for Chevy, one design for ford, and one design for toyota) and I was wondering if this would be appropriate, or if this would be considered spam. I don’t want to be frowned upon by the players and staff for forza.
I would take my most popular designs from each of the manufacturers Jeff Gordon Final win car for chevy, Kyle Busch celebrating 75 years with m&m’s for toyota, and Joey Logano Auto trader for ford and then put each of the design on one of each of the cars from the same manufacturer.
That last part may be hard to understand, I’m not the best with words haha.
Anyways let me know what you think, and if this would be something you would approve/disapprove of.
I would post my results here to keep you updated on the most popular cars. And which would get you the most downloads
It’s an interesting idea, and I look forward to seeing the results.
I reckon the results will be slightly misrepresented by the fact that there are more Chevy Super Sports than both Toyota Camrys and Ford Fusions, so I assume that the Fords will have the most downloads (IF people who add designs are “brand loyal”). We’ll see.
Yes, and I am really trying to figure out which car between each manufacturer will be most popular so that I know if I make a car not it the game, I will know which car to put it on. I.e. you made a 7 car the other day (not sure who the driver for it is, let’s just assume it’s Regan smith). So Regan SMITH doesn’t have a car in the game, and you want to put it on the car that will get the most viewed, so you put it on the most popular.
For all those curious, I will start tomorrow, I am uploading two ford’s tonight, if they become popular I will probably change what Ford I use.
Some of the main NASCAR designers have agreed to use certain cars in-game for drivers not already represented in the game. The main reason for this is to help the community find more liveries with less effort.
These cars are:
Ford: #2 Brad K Fusion
Chevy: #88 Hendrick MS Nationwide Super Sport
Toyota: #20 DeWalt Camry
Example: If I make a replica of a #43 Aric Almirola design, it always goes on the #2 Brad K Fusion. However, if I make a #10 Danica Patrick replica, it goes on the #10 in-game Chevy.
Not sure if this helps your plans or not, but I kind of hope that’s the direction your results will go.
NASCAR fans are more likely to follow a favored driver than manufacturer. For your proposed method to work you would have to apply your design to the car of every driver of that particular manufacturer. If not, you might inadvertently eliminate the most popular from the counting. Fans of Earnhardt or Stewart might be upset if one of them would switch manufacturers but would most likely hold to that driver favoritism.
I can’t lie, everyday I get on forza and I see my highest downloaded car getting closer to 300 downloads, it gets me excited. So yes, I absolutely love to see those downloads go up, so i would like to know which car is the most popular so I can get the most downloads (I am not doing this now, I didn’t realize those cars were the standard, responding to SweedishThunder) possible. In addition to me getting the most possible downloads, it also creates less requests, because more people can find the car they want, and less people request already created cars. So that is really why putting these on the most popular cars makes sense to me. But I also love to drive around with great looking paint schemes, and the car I’m driving doesn’t matter. Ford
