FH5 on PS5 | Early Access April 25, Launch Day April 29

FH6 will be a Day 1 release for the PS5

It would be nice if FH6 was on PS5 on day one because I will have to buy a new console to play it and I’d rather not buy a Series X. PS5 is a more consumer friendly console

My preferred choice would be Stream early access but MS will likely lock that to the winblows store

Why would you do that? You already got Horizon 5

Finally!

One of the smartest moves this company has made yet, with cross play across consoles and pc. I wish you well, and much success.

And so, the gaming world’s worst kept secret is finally unveiled to the surprise of absolutely no one with at least one firing braincell.

At least they’re leading with Horizon 5 first. PlayStation doesn’t have a genuinely solid open-world racer, and Forza Horizon will absolutely fill that slot in a way that Need for Speed and The Crew just can’t.

Not if it’s releasing this Fall. You wouldn’t release FH5 and then a few months later release FH6 on the platform.

This is horrible news. Why are we giving PlayStation our best ever racing franchise and yet they’re holding onto Grand Turismo exclusivity for themselves. This isn’t fair. I know games for everyone is a good thing but it should be the same for PlayStation. It’s not fair how we cannot play Grand Turismo but yet we are supposed to grin and bear it when they get all our franchises.

It’s just wrong.

Instead of giving us Horizon 6 they rather give us bad updates with no content for the last year while developing the PlayStation version of Horizon 5.

Well Horizon 6 guys is a pipe dream now. It’s not coming at all for the next two to three years at least.

As a Forza Horizon die hard fan I’m severely let down and disappointed :frowning:

They released FH4 on Steam, then FH5 on Steam a few months later

If halo gonna realese on the PS5/6 it’s basically the the white flag from Microsoft giving up on the Xbox project, and New grave for Sony’s victims.

@T10ManteoMax

Will we now also get PlayStation brand logo’s in the livery editor?

This is such a silly early-2000s console wars argument. There’s no “us” vs. "them,’ games are games. More people being able to play games is a good thing.

I think the FH6 release date depends entirely on GTA6 unless FH6 is ready in summer. If GTA6 is coming out this year, I think FH6 is either summer 2025 or 2026. No one with a big game is going to want to compete within a few months of GTA6.

No it isn’t. It’s called fairness. It’s unfair they are able to keep their exclusives. It’s PlayStation that are doing the we vs them. The only way to play Grand Turismo on a console is through having a PlayStation.

I’m all for games for all however when we seem to be doing all the giving and PlayStation continues to keep all theirs to themselves it’s hard to be accommodating when they don’t and won’t ever port their racing game to Xbox.

Gaming for all isn’t a sentiment PlayStation shares.

This hasnt been an “xbox exclusive” since PC players were introduced for FH4. Why is this such a bad thing that they’re trying to bring more players into the game? I never would have been able to get back into Forza Horizon if they hadnt released this on PC.

You’re complaining at the wrong people about it being unfair that Gran Turismo is not on Xbox. Go complain to Sony/Polyphony. All the reasons for people against this are just being selfish.

Why?? Whats the point if the game is nearing end anyways. I guess xbox wants money anyway they can, even if it hurts their console sales.

Who is this “we” here? You’re not part of Microsoft, nor am I. We’re not “giving” anything. Microsoft felt it was a good business decision to publish their titles on other platforms. Likewise, Sony has published some titles on another platform but as of now has not done the same with Gran Turismo. Companies have the right to sell their own properties where it makes the most sense for them. There’s no “fair” or “unfair” about it. I’ve owned every Nintendo console since the N64 because I know Nintendo does their own thing, and that’s the only way I’ll be able to play their games. Likewise, I’ve never owned an Xbox console because most of its exclusives didn’t interest me, and those few that did have largely wound up on PC now.

If you want to complain to someone, complain to Microsoft for actively disincentivizing people from owning Xbox hardware by pushing Game Pass so hard. Like, take a look at that “This is an Xbox” ad campaign they’re running.

Microsoft is technically a 3rd party developer since acquiring Bethesda, Activision blizzard.

Console exclusivity sooner or later will be a thing of the past. I wouldn’t be surprised that down the line after the next xbox console releases, Microsoft develops for pc, sony and Nintendo.
