Just seen the announcement, title question pretty much, no mention of 360 so I’m guessing the answer is no? Only 2 weeks away from release, I’m starting to get a little concerned at the lack of info besides what’s already been stated for the 360 version , especially when it comes to details such as:
VIP/DLC/Addon cars etc
Tuning in 360 version? yes or no?
“Replaced cars” or “different cars” in the 360 version
How MP works
Is there any more info anywhere I’ve missed? I hoping for the sake of sanity the 360 version users are entitled to the DLC too.
I do believe reading somewhere it will have DLC, but the whole VIP thing they announced sounds like it is for XO and not the 360. I’m starting to think this whole reward system may be of no use in the 360 as well. There will be new cars in the 360, we know that, but we don’t know which ones. I would say most of the cars that are in Horizon 1 will still be there and we will see some new ones added. A lot of the H1 cars are still in the XO version as well. The car list will be different, but from the announcements it sounds like it may not too different. Tuning, no, they call it car customization and upgrading, pretty much the same as Horizon has now. Same counts for the multiplayer, as is, but with some different game modes.
How about just answering the question, that would be so nice for change if someone asks something about the 360 version… not all of want/need a Xbox One. Some of you Xbox One users are starting to act annoyingly snobbish.
Thanks for the info. However, with regards to the tuning, I don’t think relative comparison to the achievements means tuning isn’t in the 360 version.
Both have “barn finds” achievements, going by the achievements it makes it look like the X1 version has 10 car barn finds and the 360 version has 5, when we know there will be 10 in EACH game as stated by your first like info regarding the 360 version “Ten amazing barn finds”, so the info there is not representative of the actual content, but thanks for showing me that.
I’m hoping DLC and Tuning is in, I can’t see what it wouldn’t be in when it’s in Forza 4, guess we’ll see.
X360 version has 10 barn finds, and One version is unknown, although people think there is more, because for the 360 differences, they said “360 will have 10 amazing barn finds”
Also the 360 version will not have tuning, confirmed on the link above. It says customization, while the One version boasts the “tuning”. But because the 2015 Mustang was in FM%, the lack of 360 info, one damn picture, and everything else, I would assume the 360 won’t have the DLC.
Note: Xbox One owners who think they are better than 360 owners: Step off of your imaginary high horse and realize that you are no better.
But it doesn’t say it does NOT have it, i understand your point from reading the words and the X1 version specifying tuning but…what logical reason do they have to leave it out? I just don’t get it, it doesn’t take up tons of resoruces :S.
Horizon 2 for the 360 is based on Horizon 1. Horizon 1 has the upgrade system in place and it would take a lot of work to replace it with a full tuning system. It’s obvious they decided to devote their time to adding other things in the game. Personally, I don’t mind, I’m not much of a tuner, the upgrade system is fine for me. Here at Forza wording is very important, it tells you what a version will or will not have. It’s odd to mention upgrading if you have tuning in the game. To mention the differences so specifically, it means the 360 version will not have tuning.
I’m hoping for a full list of features for the 360 version soon, but since Microsoft is pushed the Xbox One, we may not know anything more until the game is released. We have to wait and see and hope for some news soon. From the one image shown, it seems like Sumo may have improved the visuals of Horizon 2 over Horizon 1 and that alone would be quite an achievement.
Ok, I’ll take the benefit of the doubt then, i doubt see how adding it to the current menu as a seperate thing would be difficult at all, just like with forza 4, you had a menu for “Upgrades” then you clicked elsewhere for “tuning” but hey ho, guess we’ll see.
Problem is though…who even are sumo digital? I know they are a UK dev (yay?) based in sheffield, only a 110 miles or so away from me but, what have they made which was great? How trustworthy are they? A lot of there games are just ports or console to hand helf spinoffs or random hand held games, aside from sonic racing I know no other “decent” game they’ve developed.
Waiting to be proven wrong, only things I really care about are:
Same car list give or take a few cars (no locked out cars to DLC…really want than 1993 CLIO Williams, nostlagia much from my second car almost)
Better engine audio quality and volume as compared to FH1
Sumo are the people behind Sonic & All-Stars Racing: Transformed, they’re working on LittleBigPlanet 3. They have quite a number of xbox360, PSP and even PS2 games I’ve played and they were all pretty decent. They’ve been around for a long time, contrary to Playground Games. I’ve got a feeling they may do an excellent job on Horizon 2, since they do have experience in racing games. No one even heard about Playground Games before Horizon 2 was released and yet they did a good job on the game. Now we have a seasoned game studio working on part 2 and I expect them to take Horizon to the next level.
Sumo has created some dlc for games before, so you will never know. Physics I don’t know about if that will be improved. I assume it will be since we now get more off road as well, so there needs to be some work in that area at least. Also with the barriers gone and true freeroad, I’d say physics would need to be adjusted for that. Better barn finds would be cool, as long as we get 10 new ones I’m happy. I really don’t want to find the same cars in Horizon 2 again, that would spoil the fun a bit.
There would be one good thing about there not being a season pass, dlc and so on… I would have money left over to buy the Crew for the 360
Just a quick question. Has anyone been able to purchase the VIP or season pass for the 360 version? Can’t find either anywhere and didn’t see either advertised as an Xbox One exclusive. Did I miss something?
We don’t know if there will be a VIP/Season Pass for the 360 version. It would be nice if we got more info on the 360 version, but Sumo is being such a ninja on Horizon 2 on 360 and is only talking about LittleBigPlanet 3.
I’m just confused because Turn 10 announced both on the website but didn’t specify which system it was for. I assumed both systems would get the same content since it’s the same game.
I think you will hear about season pass and VIP for X360 close to release time
We heard about VIP and season pass for Xbox One as it is included inside digital pre-order packs. As X360 has no digital pre-order, it is not surprising that there is few news.
