Can anyone tell me when was the last time a proper rally car was added to fh5?
-
N when was the last time a proper drift car was added to fh5?
-
N when was the last time a proper cross country(offroad) car was added to fh5?
The first and the latter probably with rally adventure so March 29, 2023 and drift car probably with the donut media story 2.0 or the nissan altimaniac so also about a year ago
…They have recently release a slew of cars whose entire reputations were made in Rally - Fiat, Alfa, some of the greatest rally cars ever made… all introduced over the past year - not to mention the legendary Colin McRae’s Ford Focus in the Rally Adventure…
Drift cars? I mean, they’ve also recently released a few classic japanese cars that make popular drift platforms… And a few new Hoonigan cars - the New Nike Air-Camaro is a drift car…
Off-Road… also have releases some new cars over the past years, Deberti off-roaders, Extreme E cars, Toyota Trucks, new and classics.
…what are you on about - you mean “bespoke race cars” - that isn’t technically the theme of this game… although they certainly have tie ins with some bespoke race cars in game - typically however they are homologation specials as well. Rear race cars they released recently were all from packs. We will be getting some Porsche GT3 cars in the next update.
- Mitsubishi Lancer Evo III, previous month. Same update added new Subaru WRX, though Subaru no longer does WRC I think. If you mean purpose-built rally car, then Citroen BX 4TC in May.
- Fourth gen Toyota Chaser was also added last month. If you mean a Formula Drift car specifically, rather than “just” iconic drift car, then 2 FD cars were added with second Donut update.
- VW Safari (“Thing”, in US) in August. DLC containing Mitsubishi Montero EVO came out that month as well.
Yes altimaniac n nissan z…it’s June 2023 right? N rally car in March 2023?
U didn’t understand the question. I’m asking about proper rally means wrc ones fn proper drift cars like formula drift ones.
There’re production cars my friend…I’m asking when was the last time a proper wrc car was added.
Yes that’s what I mean. That’s June 2023…after that not a single fd car was added.
Those r also production cars. That montero is not the Godly dakar version we all know as the “king of the desert”. That’s just a production car.safari is a good car but I mainly asking about proper offroad cars like trophy trucks, buggies, utv n all.
I just know the date for rally adventure but should be roughly that time period
Yeah that’s the point. They added a fd car in June 2023 n a rally car in March 2023…this is November 2024…till date just nothing has come. N we have only one drag car in the game…this is totally wrong.
Tbh we can be happy that we even have one drag car at all. Also i think with WRC and other racing leagues you need multiple licenses and everything. Also if you want them just vote for them on the suggestion hub.
And also FH5 support is probably coming to an end soon so dont get your hopes high but maybe for FH6
If you search for cars from official racing divisions, in historical racing configurations, you’ll not find much in a street racing game. Other than occasional FM refugee, most racing cars here are either motorsport icons, or street-legal variants.
Last time we got bunch of these was in Rally expansion, and they put few trucks and buggies, so cars somewhat match the theme.
What you should be looking for instead are games that focus on their respective motorsports, some may be even official games of their respective division with up to date lineups and variants.
Licensing is definitely a problem…but that doesn’t mean that they have to bring only production cars to horizon every month. N no more forza for me…I’ve disappointed enough already…no proper steering animation,no shifting animation, no proper sounds, buggy car models specially the racing ones n do on…
We need to think differently. It’s nowhere mentioned it is a production car racing game…always they say It’s a car racing game…so race cars also come under cars…n horizon is not a game like nfs like u mentioned as street racing game… horizon has four main categories road, dirt, cross country n street scenes…so if they add cars only suitable for street scenes n not about other categories It’s not right then. N they don’t have proper race upgrades as well so racing a suv in cc or racing a production lancer I dirt racing makes no sense.
Good luck finding an open world game that does better then Forza Horizon.
Tell me when you found one
Crew motorfest is already there…they have everything but I really don’t like the visuals…it just feels bad for me…otherwise the animations are just perfect, sounds too good, huge upgrade lists n so on…covers both racing n cruising community…I hope it use the assassin creed graphics pipeline from next instalments…it’ll kill horizon.
Everything cool and all but:
- eventlab
- physics
- monthly updates for over 3 years (at least 4 new cars per month)
- Best car list in an open world racing game to date
- Visuals
By “street racing game” I mean game where you race on network of public roads, not “street” Forza category. Cross Country is here, sure, but it was always an afterthought, only added because they already had open map for it. I mean, CC in FH sucks. Tracks design, offroad handling, AI handling, it’s all visibly lower effort than other racing categories. It was only good in FH3.
You miss the forest for the trees. Forza Horizon was never focused on particular motorsports, it was always sold as festival, a car meet cranked up to 11, where Lambos race against supercharged Mustangs, and RX-7 with rotary cranked to 600HP. You don’t drive homologated cars from sponsors, you get “normal” saloon car and pimp it out to what you want it to be.
You might say vibe of game is for regular “car guys”, not motorsport purists.
Also, what you you have against privateers? It’s always a highlight of rally event for me when someone rolls in Lancia Montecarlo or old BMW M3.
Yeah…I know it’s not a motorsport focused game…n that’s good because anything can come to horizon…that’s why I love it, it gives the freedom to do anything. N it’s also a festival like u said…but that doesn’t mean it mostly focus on production cars n neglect race cars every single way. Cause goodwood is also a festival…probably the biggest…every types of cars can join there…from ur mazda rx7 to my mazda 787b…just anything…that’s the biggest car meet as well…that’s what I want in horizon as well…I always wanted that…I always talked about a balance…a 50-50 balance between road cars n race cars…n this is the devs responsibility to maintain this balance…this production car supremacy just needs to come to an end in horizon.
Yeah that’s why I’m still here!
I’m not sure you will find that a majority of Horizon fans agree with you on those points.
