I thought it was too, but couldn’t pinpoint it
Not testing per se but some notes on the Elemental…
Over 2 seconds quicker than my Huracan Tecnica time on Jardines and 3 seconds quicker than the UrbanRebel I was planning to use in the Trial, apart from one single person in a Noble M400 only Viper AE’s, Elise GT1’s and cheated times are above the time I set with the Elemental on there.
WR holder on Chihuahua + Bola on the mainland and El Bosque in the Rally DLC by an enormous margin to the #2 time, probably has others too as they were all I looked at.
Had a go myself on Bola earlier and it got me fastest auto + 7th fastest legitimate time on there.
Unbelievably good on the right tracks.
I made several different S1-900 tunes for the GT350R not long ago for various weekly playlist races and they’re plenty fun and keep up just fine.
HOWEVER the new FnF '66 Impala SS is ALSO a “Track Toy”. Supercharger and Intercooler and some other goodies get you right up to S1-900 and by then it’s a 3200lb rocket with 1920hp. Really excited to run one of the five tunes I have prepared. REALLY hoping it’s cross country/mixed surface.
It’s a beast in cross country.
I made a drag tune for the '66 Impala but haven’t tried a road build yet.
That’s something I’m going to work on this evening, thanks for reminding me.
The Elemental is an interesting car. Better handling and grip than any of the 12 Track Toys in my garage already installed with an S1 900 tune. I was going to use my 2019 Ferrari 488 Pista or 2016 BMW M4 GTS but the Elemental has a faster lap and overall time on Los Jardines. The AI drove better and faster against the Elemental which is probably not going to happen in the trial and possibly the Elemental’s low top speed in some of the tunes may be a factor on other tracks.
Dang it’s a fun car. The responsiveness and handling is the closest to “F1” like you can get in FH5. I kept taking grip out of it and it is still god like with it grip level. It’s probably the car that I have also missed the checkpoints with because of how awesome the turn in is…lol
Here’s some screenshots for some of next seasons events.
I suppose the name of the Trial could be a reference to the upgrade heroes category in eventlab.
I can post a list of the 50 cars eligible for this category if people think it’s likely or maybe Max will post the full series requirements soon.
It will be Homologation Heroes and I am guessing A class from the GTO + NSX-R GT being the background cars.
Hopefully I am wrong though and it’s S1.
Take with a grain of salt
Observation of trials being similar in track patterns per month based from first week. Like if 3 trail in week 1 then all after follow suit. Or 1 circuit 2 trails… whatever combo stays consistent with pattern for the month. Or is it just me ?
This week was 3 circuit (wk 1)
Yes, S1 would be my preference as well.
Also looking forward to the dirt championship. Always love any muscle car on dirt for some reason.
Edit: Not sure what Trial track that is but reminds me of Estadio circuit.
Funny you mention Estadio. I thought a few days ago - man it’s been forever since they ran that one and probably are due soon
It would be ideal for me because that’s where I test a lot of my road tunes.
Home field advantage as it were will definitely pay off big time with that track
Here’s some screenshots of the Homologation Heroes category.
Disregard those that start out in S1 class since it will most likely be restricted to A class.
Edit: Looks like I uploaded them in backwards order.
The Elise GT1, NSX-R-GT and GTO seem like the obvious best choices. I’m sure @TheGillesMuller will test them to give us an idea on which ones will be competitive.
I have an A class tune for the CLK GTR that is actually pretty competitive and fun. It’s definitely unique as well.
Nice, looks like we have the whole season mapped out now. Nice categories for the championships as well.
I see from the screenshot that the GMA T.50 starts out at S2 936. That’s not unexpected. I think it’s going to be an awesome Extreme Track Toy based on my experience with it in Forza Motorsport.
Really supreme handling in that game.
I wonder how they determine “extreme track toy” vs the real life categories like hypercar, etc
