Festival Playlist Preview (S28)

Faster and Furiouser?

Seems fairly arbitrary.

I’m predicting Extreme Track Toy because it only weighs 2200 lbs.
I associate Track Toys with being light weight and this one starting out in S2 suggests Extreme Track Toy.

Edit: For what it’s worth, Forza Motorsport has the GMA T.50 in the Modern Exotic GT category.

The testing may take much longer this series, every time I have stayed in Rivals for too long either while I go and do something else or through actually driving I am getting the season loading again after, and upon resuming the game doesn’t respond to any input other than the guide button which forces a pause.

I can do everything in the pause menu from there including fast travel but even when I do that my car doesn’t respond to any inputs, I can’t even enter the Festival garage if I fast travel there.

Only done 3 cars so far but I will be leaving the Alfa TZ2 out, with 99.9% certainty that’s the easy mode car for this Trial.

I’ve been seeing the same thing. Anyone reported it yet? I don’t do rivals, so it doesn’t seem to be related to that.

Apart from my own Stratos + the Charger which were both horrible this was an enjoyable test, gave them all 3 laps each apart from the top 2 + the Capri as I really wanted it to break the minute barrier.

Many of these will be much better in the hands of MC users, no surprise my quickest time was with one that’s both AWD swapped + naturally aspirated, auto suffers from a slower shift on native AWD cars and usually suffers on turbo cars due to the shift points.

Alfa TZ2, Honda NSX-R GT, Elise GT1, Evo 6 and Impreza 22B I left out due to them being very well known strong cars already.

Final results…

I will wait until later in the week or early next week to test the next one out but it looks like it’s AMG vs M Sport Race Off at a glance, likely A class again if that turns out to be it.

more of a street build. I love these retro supercars with no rear-wing, but estadio is a no-go for sure, aero is a must.

It turns out I was wrong about the GMA T.50 being an Extreme Track Toy.
The T.50 and Valkyrie are in the Hypercar category.

I wonder how road legality affects this. I feel like senna is street legal but t50 isn’t, but they’re both hypercars. idk.

I started testing my tunes there lately as well. Gives you a good balance of turn in and acceleration.

it’s definitely a good test track, hard turns ,fast straights, a great little chicane, and elevation changes

The GMA T.50 is available in the message center if anyone is interested.

Edit: Not surprisingly, it’s a handling beast. I AWD swapped it as usual for me and it tops out at about 250mph in high downforce mode and about 265mph in V-Max boost mode.

The V-Max mode is when you can really hear the crazy fan.
I prefer the better handling high downforce mode though.

I should mention the sound, it’s pretty viscous sounding.

Christ. I tried to download it, the game froze and closed. reopened it, tried again, gives me an error. cannot redeem… anybody else?

It downloaded without any issues for me fortunately.

the fan sounds like it’s mixed way too loud in vmax mode

Gordan Murray Automotive 2022 T.50 (Yinyang): 473 111 563

Limited amount of surface for vinyl on this car. Zero rear section, and the top section pretty much only has the hood (which goes way down into what is normally the front section).

While I was working on one of the liveries for this week I ended up with a black and white design, and it occurred to me that the yinyang was a straightforward vinyl group I hadn’t done yet. So I have a bunch along a similar theme as above.

I made sure to have fresh liveries for all of @TheGillesMuller’s very well known strong cars as well as any that made the sub one minute cut-off.

Looks like next seasons PR stunts will be using the same cars as season one except in the next class up.

The Spider will be C class, MR2 will be B class, Golf R will be A class.

Same for the expansion stunts.

The reason I think they’ll be in the next class up is because I can see the PR stunt requirements for the 4th season and they’re the same cars as season 2 but in the next class up.

Haven’t been able to find any definitive info on the championship car restrictions but based on the names we could probably guess some of them.

I think @TheGillesMuller has figured out the Trial. Is that BMW vs AMG?

PGG heard the complaints here and said, you know what, let’s not just make it impossible to complete stunts in a stock car, let’s completely force people to use tunes for PR stunts by making them a class up from stock.

I think so but I have no idea so far what track that picture is taken at.
