I don’t suppose anyone knows the 3 tracks we will have to race for the team races do they? Of Course, we know Copper Canyon Sprint is the 1st track.

I always like to know what the tracks are so I can practice the tracks in the correct cars. Gives me a better chance of me winning or just being near the front to help the win beat the AI.

Thanks

Last time it was Copper Canyon Sprint, Chihuahua Circuit and Riviera Sprint.

James May Rubbish

Even with being able to improve their times + tune them myself here they’re easily amongst the worst + slowest driving experiences you can have at S1 900 with a car that on paper logically makes sense to upgrade to that class, no redeeming qualities from either of them other than a decent launch, which is completely neutralised as soon as you get to a corner anyway.

Well PG clearly made the PR Stunts significantly easier as time went on, all these ones can be done easily even with the worst TT bone stock, but due to voting obviously making vastly older/newer series run before/after each other it’s ended up providing the perfect example within a week with the drift zone….

(originally Series 40) Otro Mundo this week with A800 Audi TT = 80,000pts
(originally Series 8) Otro Mundo last week with B700 BMW = 130,000pts

Please PG will you stop recommending slop just because of who the creators are?

Last week’s nonsensical 901PI tune for the Audi was from a person who had the PG badge, and the dirt tune for it plus this week’s Porsche tune is from a moderator on the FH Reddit, when both are poorly built and badly tuned.

You’re basically telling people to overlook the fact this week that several of the game’s best tuners and all around players have tunes available for that 911, many of which you’ll see before the recommended one if you search for S1 tunes.

I had zombiejesus52’s tune already installed so I compared that vs the recommended, and I chose Tunnel Run which should have favoured the recommended tune, ZJ’s is capable of setting me a PB on there, while the tune PG are pushing was over 3 seconds slower, less power, heavier, understeers and the suspension is shocking.

But that’s because one was made by someone who knows what they’re doing, while the other by someone who just wants people to think that, the build is terrible and makes it clear that the creator has no idea even just at the upgrading stage let alone actual tuning, you want full handling? Use slicks, you want the best balance of power + handling? Use rallies, that thing is on the stock race tires which lands it in a middle ground of nothingness, add poor tuning on top of that and you end up with a tune that has no redeeming qualities in comparison to anything remotely decent.

It undermines the efforts of every single person that’s bothered to learn the tuning mechanics and actually cares about what they put out there when PG themselves are pushing lazy rubbish, simply because of personal attachment to the people themselves because there is zero evidence to the contrary here, it’s as close as you can get to nepotism in this game and it is a straight up lack of integrity and respect for players.

Just from my first 5 tunes from friends + followed players and the most popular S1 tunes until I reach that recommended one…

Syokora996
RcR StriKer
Nalak28
K1Z Bard x2 (one with V12 swap, one with stock engine)
K1Z Jumpy
ESV Mars
TheDannny

Many of these all come in at near identical power-weight since there is clearly a stand-out base build for it for a good all-rounder, rallies, 750hp from the racing V12 swap, 2928 or 2929lbs.

PG are seriously suggesting me, you whoever’s reading this and everyone else should dismiss all those and go for 695hp, 3329lbs on the stock race tires that has no upsides at all vs the above build?

Sorry this post has ballooned so much but I find this terrible, it’s bad enough when an individual player is trying to fool us with bad tunes but this is the developers, a lot of players will naturally trust them without question if they come with a recommendation, newer players especially, but what’s really got my goat up with this is that the reason behind these recommendations in the last 2 weeks looks very clearly to be nothing to do with the tunes themselves, there hasn’t been anything about this Porsche or those two for the Audi last week to suggest otherwise.

Almost forgot about things this week. That was one of the worst Trials I’ve ever run personally. Somehow I smacked into a rock on Copper Canyon that I don’t think I’ve ever hit in however long we’ve been playing this game, so I couldn’t do better than the midpack (to be fair our team was never winning that one even if I was up at the front). I followed that up by just driving around a checkpoint on Chihuahua for no good reason. Good work me. I still scraped together 500 points, and then we destroyed the AI on Riviera so all’s well. Everything else was smooth except for the Tour, which I don’t know why I picked because it was limited to that offroad Sierra that may be the single-worst car in the game. We barely won the first race on the opposite side of Descenso, and then at the Festival CC race there was a patch of water where I watched my car come to a dead stop and barely manage to get out while the whole AI field blew by me. Why does that car even exist?
