Festival Playlist events and rewards Nov. 30 - Dec. 7 (Spring S27)

Feels like it’s been a bit of a quiet week on the forum. In my case, been particularly busy post holiday but things have calmed down and I’m ready for the new season.

Looking forward to driving and tuning the Lincoln Continental. Haven’t driven one in any Forza game before.
I spent time with the Rossion Q1 in FH4, look forward to its return.

Same here or at least I think so, there was a 2017 Continental in FM7 that I have absolutely no memory of even seeing and the one we’re getting was last in FM’s magnum opus FM4, don’t remember driving that either but it was 10+ years ago.

And yet strangely the last Lincoln I do remember driving in a racing game is from even further back, the one-time hip hop/rap vehicle of choice the Navigator in NFSU2.

The Continental starts in D class so should have potential somewhere.

The Continental in FM7 was a car pass/car pack addition I think. But also can’t remember driving it at all.
Never gotten the old one in FM4. Looking forward to tomorrow. Normally I wouldn’t expect much outside of a powerbuild but the recently added Classic Muscles were great fun and good.

The Rossion was ultra grippy in Horizon 4. So much it didn’t get enough power in S1.
Don’t expect a competition for its sister car (Noble M400) because that’s straight up meta but with the Drift/Rallye detunes it might work.

D class for the Lincoln is a good starting spot. Kind of makes my decision for my first tune a bit tougher though.

Normally I’d start out with C class tunes like I’ve done with the recent 40 point reward cars but not sure in this case.

Any recommendations on the vans & utilities front?

Do you mean on which to use for the Trial? I have to confess I’m not feeling confident with my Trials tunes being competitive.
I went with handling builds for most of them, so they aren’t very fast. I went more with a speed build with the El Camino but I’m not sure I’m fond of how it drives.
The one I liked the best is the Sandman. It’s kind of a tweener, decent speed and decent handling but doesn’t excel in either.

there’s no real secret to this week’s trial. it’s low-performance, and everyone will be in the same boat. I expect the AI to be terrible also

I did my testing on Aeródromo. starting from the back I got to #6 or 7 right away then got stuck there for quite a while through the turns, and it seemed hopeless until the straightaway in the 50% range where I left the last few behind

A lot of them have really terrible handling with the stock tires. I gave some of them vintage white walls and they handle much better but of course that doesn’t give you much room left for power upgrades in C class.

Ran all the cars per usual based on this forums requirements lol. I experienced the same…really not much going on this week in terms of excitment. Last week was one of my favs in a long time because the online portion was a real duel between myself and a level 9 prestige. Had a good time. Just going to skate by this week. I am hoping next week we get something interesting. Rumors of a british month got me kind of excited. Hope that happens. Love to get some aston and mcclarens out on the new tracks.

I think the GMA T.50 is a save bet given its announcement for Motorsport. Maybe as the “Secret Santa” car and it would fit a British theme.
Maybe we even get the T.50 S on top of it.
Both make an appearance in the Crew 2/Motorfest at least. Thus, hopefully T10/PG took the chance as well and licenced both.

Re The Trial . My initial testing on the Aeródromo Sprint (Road) in a solo race with 11 AI and auto gears gave the following results:

1st: 1970 Chevrolet El Camino Super Sport 454 (KarmaDriving)
2nd:1974 Holden Sandman HQ panel van (DontGivaDeuce)
3rd:1991 GMC Syclone (Musten 19)

The Camino and Sandman were fairly close (half a second).

Since then It’s been suggested that Linea Costera (the remaining new track) will be the second or third race and GreetedDust8 has done a really good tune for the Syclone. Tried these three again on both tracks and with Greeted’s tune and the Syclone was easily the best (over 5 seconds). The Syclone was also the only one of the three to exceed 140mph on Linea Costera.

I think I’ve given up on the Hot Wheels Forest Flume Speed Zone (170 mph) although LostPhoenixUK has done a YouTube video showing a speed of 182.39 mph is possible using the following car and tune:

1969 Chevrolet Nova Super Sport 396
Tune: PR A Class
Share Code: 901 248 130
Creator: Aeqnx

He’s also done a YouTube video for the Treasure Chest challenge (highest point in Mexico with an Exocet):

Looks like my first run will be the @CashlessPlains8 Camino. Seems like there’s no silver bullet so I might as well look super clean while I’m out there.

I’ve seen other’s mention prestige levels a bit more in some threads this past week. That level may not always reflect on driver skill though. In my mind when i see a prestige level higher than 4 or 5 i think they must have grinded for credits at some point on the same few blueprints for the auction house, or the 7.5m to buy out all clothing at start … etc. And that is perfectly fine and acceptable but the levels are a by product of grinding.

nothing you mentioned affects prestige in a meaningful way.
