Festival Playlist events and rewards Nov. 16-23 (Autumn S27)

Also, its pretty cool that all those times were done with their own tunes. Lately I’ve been enjoying tuning under used cars and making them at least somewhat competitive. :woman_shrugging: :joy:

full disclosure, my B700 Scout and A800 X-Class times are not my tunes. everything else is me.

Nothing wrong with that! I was just talking about these specific times. :slightly_smiling_face:

You may want to try also tunes by:
LoigkJ - may be not optimal, cause I think it was posted before “tire profile” update, but should be good anyway
Greeteddust8 - don’t remember the date on that, but probably as above
Geistwriter - @geistwriter do you want to tell something about your tune?

I totaled a '97 Jimmy when I was young, you’ve come to the expert!

my tune is less competitive than yours, I only tested it against unbeatable drivatars for the trial and I lean more towards handling for seasonal stuff.

I’m going to mangrove now to test all sorts of things

@Bravo437 great time on mangrove in trail boss, my tune? I may have to give it another shot

Thanks. Been trying some of the other cars being discussed & managed to get down to #102 with this one & there’s definitely more room to improve.

*Edit: managed to improve a bit further to 01:21 #90 w/Trail Boss

Midweek color changeup. This is the point in the week where the “new” feature drops and my livery downloads take a dive, so I usually feature a color variation or some other liveries I forgot to share on Wednesday.
Ford 2016 Shelby GT350R (RedBlackGradient): 456 291 498
Hummer 2006 H1 Alpha (Manchester City): 573 620 657
International 1970 Scout 800A (WhiteBlackRallye): 157 575 130

The widebody Shelby gets an interesting twist. The stripes are gradients that run towards the center, black in the front and red in the back. Underneath is a 2-tone with red highlight and black lowlight so the shelby logo and the trim towards the bottom color shift between red and black, enough so that I had to swap the Shelby lettering back to being white so it was visible when the lowlight was coming through.

A Manchester city hummer livery.

And the Scout got some hood vinyl. It’s a sort of parallelogram that’s on a lot of the Rallye scouts, but not all of them. I also inverted the color scheme with the stripes being black and the paint being white. I haven’t done one with special effect/masking yet, but that’ll probably be a future variation.

Edit:
The Missouri Military Academy Jeep was the surprise winner this week, with 138 downloads. The Shelby Daytona wasn’t too far behind with 75 (and 17 likes, which is a lot). Rallye only saw 37 downloads. A smattering for the rest, with no zero downloads (which is unusual). I broke 16k downloads this week! I have an idea for a vinyl group/livery for 20k. It’ll take me a while to get there, but every download helps.

@ziperrPL - I already had Greeteddusts tune installed from awhile back, it’s a great tune but just slightly off the mark compared to yours although i only ran a couple of Rival runs. Geistwriters is also quite good but i’m not a fan of Anti Lag and the body roll occasionally throws me off but it too is close and i might say a bit better than Greeteddusts. LoigkJ is unfortunately not as quick but when i say that i mean its a second or 2 off the mark. It has great grip but the pickup is what kills it for me.

All are top 1% tunes and would smash the competition in the Trial (depending on the line up of course).

Going to stick with yours on Rivals though as i didn’t get on last night to give it a few more runs. I’m hoping to bring it down another second :+1:

Really enjoying the Chevy Trail Boss so decided to put a livery together for it complimenting the “Z71” badging. Share code below for anyone interested.
Took another run at my previous time on Mangrove & managed to get down to #86 literally with my 2nd lap, so I know there is more to gain. Really like the way it handles, so I’m sure it would do great in the Trial.

is it my tune though? don’t want to waste time chasing you if you found a better one

Was using your tune initially, which is very good btw, but I was testing out a few others & that latest time was actually with Saeenu’s…

mine was pretty specific for grass/cc, there’s better dirt builds out there, I haven’t revisited it yet but now I probably will

Ford 1966 #2 GT40 MK II (#2 Zinc): 101 953 801
Glossy black with zinc stripes and wheels.

You ever have a car all picked out for a SC… and then change your mind at the last second? I ended up going with the #2, and it did really well. Two first place finishes against a [redacted] and a Bronco and… maybe a Focus? I’m not sure. The tune was by KapienPL (it was already on it… but I checked and I didn’t see any from the brain trust in A class offroad).

This was my first time, I think, using the zinc finish. I thought it provided a nice contrast with the black without being overly gaudy like the gold can be.

Don’t know if you care of improving your time any more, but please try my tune. Probably will suck for any other track - final drive is set to 6.10 with top speed around 222km/h, but was pretty good for Mangrove.
My clean PB with automatic gearbox:

It was quite good lap  , but should be relatively easy to do low 1:20.
Don’t go below 4th gear anywhere. Keep it in 5th for last corner.

Nice work! :+1:t2: Will definitely check it out. I tried a few more runs last night, but just wasn’t feeling it. I was pretty surprised by how many consistently clean runs I was able to make essentially matching my PB, so felt like I had plateaued at that point. I’ve got some other tracks I want to spend time on as well but this revisit to Mangrove has been fun.

my tune is about 80 lbs heavier than saeenu’s but has a better power ratio, and a clutch upgrade for the Auto crowd

never really did a proper run at mangrove before but it’s a good test track, lots of variation
