The new drift club story cannot be finished with custom controls, the final chapter needs you use LS to change the cars drivetrain and if you have remapped it then it won’t recognise what you have remapped it to.
Changing to default controls worked but I thought we were past seeing easy mistakes like this.
Worked just fine for me. Have left bumper as the control.
Yeah I have nothing assigned for that, I would have expected the game to warn me nothing was mapped as currently you cannot start the event at all until you switch drivetrain.
Everything complete apart from the daily ones, was rather an easy week.
this drift story is a joke! Why on earth would they lock a car on 100% completion of this nonsense??? Please allow people to unlock things without having to complete in this stupid drift stories! I HATE DRIFTING AND SHOULDN’T BE FORCED TO PARTAKE IN IT!
You’re not forced. If you’re terrible, there’s an option in the accessibility settings to make progressing in the story guaranteed, whether you get a star or not. And you don’t need the car anyway. It’s a drift car, so I doubt you’ll be using it much.
You only need to 1 star the drift stories for the car the 3 stars gets you an outfit.
It takes 30 mins to complete all missions, and the score is set so low that you barley need to drift at all to get 3 stars. A 4 year old can complete that crap
Agree with the previous reply. The targets are pretty low and easily achievable.
You also get a month to complete all 18 stars which is fair.
All done but the Dailies. Took about six attempts to get a nice tune for the Jaguar and find a good team for the Trial. Almost everytime people would fall to avoid the water near the beginning in the first lap and cause chaos sending teammates out themselves flying off the road.
I had a minor issue with the EventLabs. They wouldn’t download at first saying that I needed to be connected to Horizon Live although I was. Solved by exiting and completely quitting the game. I preferred the one at the old airstrip over the one with all of the elevated platforms.
Chapter 2 of this week’s Weekly Challenge was confusing.
I was confused because there is no mention in the Japanese language of doing Chapter 2 with stock Demon.

This is the description of Chapter 2 in Japanese.
The problem here is the “準備しよう (ready to win)” sentence.
It is difficult to convey the meaning of this phrase in Japanese in English, but in this case it can be interpreted as an instruction to “upgrade within the Class A range.”
This style of challenge tends to cause confusion, but if PG is going to continue this style of challenge, I would appreciate it if PG would pay a little more attention to the text when translating.
The eligible car list will only show the cars that are stock for that class and car type, and not all potential cars that can be used if upgraded. So any “Classic Racer” that is tuned to S1 class can be used in the Trial.
I did it on wednesday with custom. Mine is mapped to RS button. At least I thought I had until I noticed that it was only thing I forgot to copy to manual one so nothing was mapped to do it. After that was fixed RS button worked.
Anyone having issues with the weekly challenge? First time the game didn’t register that I was in the demon. I go to restart it and it fixes it, but now the 2nd chapter doesn’t register. I once again restart the game, now it put me back on chapter one and I won’t register the car again. Get your game fixed Playground games! I never complain but this is utter horsesh*t.
Are you using a stock tune for the Demon? I made sure mine was stock before taking it out of the garage.
Yeah, nah. Usually the “eligible” screen shows, surprise, all the eligible cars.
Anyone else notice they changed Ek’Balam cross country race. The first turn has been sharpened and DJS is in the lobby with me now.
It might be nice if it showed cars in two groups. 1) Eligible as is and 2) eligible if the tune is changed.
So if the restriction is A-class Buggies, you will see the Buggies that are already A class and then the Buggies that are other classes.
