Festival Playlist events and rewards Mar. 20 - Mar. 27 (Spring S44)

I was watching some Trial videos this week and saw one with a convoy of 5 players and they were chatting with each other during the races and on the screen of 2 of the convoy members they had lost the 1st race but on the screens of the other 3 members they had won the race by score.

Seems like the score isn’t being displayed correctly for all players.

I wonder if it’s related to how the AI sometimes wigs out just as it’s crossing the finish line. Maybe some of the human players pass them at the last second, but it doesn’t get reflected on the scoreboard.

That seems like a good explanation. Amazing that they never addressed this issue.

I think the first two convoy members saw the score as it was shortly before the the AI ahead of me somehow managed to finish last gifting the race to us and the other three of us saw the score reflecting that

Assuming it was that race you saw the video from but that certainly happened and was recorded and shared

Oh wow…this is it! This is what fixes it! That’s insane. I’ve had issues with fast cars bottoming out on the loop before this speed trap (and one or two other spots too) for as long as the HW expansion has been out. Until now the only way to get around it was to throw offroad suspension on a hypercar, and sometimes I’d have to raise the ride height too. I also found that going into settings and setting the framerate to the lowest-possible value would sometimes help. But this time I went into Horizon Solo, grabbed a stock Agera RS, and completely shattered my previous record with no car scraping at all. Thank you so much for posting this!

And now in retrospect it makes sense why I never had any issues with these same loops while in an actual race. I run races in singleplayer, so I wasn’t hitting whatever is going on in Life. I guarantee that if I was running those races in co-op I’d hit the bug then. Because capping the framerate worked I figured this was probably some hardware-dependent issue, but the reality is even weirder.

Y’know, I might make a support post about this now that there’s a way to get around it. I doubt PGG will (or even can) fix it, but at least a dev might get some useful info out of it.

This is an annoyance when sharing tunes for the Hot Wheels stunts because like you I have to use rally suspension to prevent the bottoming out in loops and such.

Was an issue with this seasons Nexus View speed trap.

Looks like there’s already a bug report about the clipping issue. If anyone else experiences it, throw some votes its way:

curious for me is that I did get slight “hits” on the track and I don’t remember that happening before, as if something changed with an update, it’s weird
