Whoa….who’s that new eventlab creator for the week?!?
Anyways, any feedback is welcome from my Mexico Island Raceway. I go for playability, fun factor and something decent to look at, as much as possible.
90 hour project with 7 total ribbons, including the full course through both temples. All ribbons can be found in the eventlab creations hub here in the forums (I won’t cross post anything here).
Also, my Gamertag can be searched in the FCG discord hub, under eventlab library.
Once again, highly recommend checking out this discord group (Forza Creators Guild). I know a few people don’t like some of the Eventlabs but there are some that are fast and fun in the library.
Again, I big thanks to all who played (and will play) and a big thanks to playground games for their constant promotion of my fellow FCG creators (and myself).
In a rush to get the 20pts before I go out shortly so I took the '74 with Rock’s tune, started at the back both races but didn’t cause anything beyond eye rolling pre-race at seeing it, the AI were particularly awful here though, all the usual swerving rubbish in both races and the front two without anyone near them just drove straight into the barriers on the 1st right of Baja lol.
Did end up with something I never thought I’d do in a Trial though especially on a shorter circuit…
Anyway looking forward to seeing/reading if the Kia or Hyundai can do anything, going to have a brief look at their possible builds now but won’t have time to try doing a proper time with them anywhere to find out first hand.
I knew the trucks were going to make a horrible appearance. One of the reasons I love and hate this track for trials. When I was tuning cars for it I saw so many baja’s testing on this track in ghost mode. I just kept thinking gotta make my cars fast on take off and get away from them.
A solid race circuit. Turns make sense, nothing blind, and even more important, nothing misleading. We’ve seen that too many times. A couple of turns that take a couple of attempts to understand, which is good. Overall I like it.
On the other hand, that driving line! It seems to just be down the middle of the track, which makes the AI behave even worse than usual. I’d be on the outside and turn in toward an apex and get t-boned by an AI coming down the middle. It also made them completely uncompetitive.
Ah, yes. The driving line is very inconsistent, even after rigorous testing. Apex line drawing often results in drivatars crashing into walls and causing pile-ups. Another common annoyance reported during feedback.
If drivatars where able to adjust to apex lines, we wouldn’t have these problems. I have to slowly go down the middle of the track (often in a b-class car) just to avoid the pile-up issues. They tend to behave themselves better, believe it or not, when driving lines are in the middle of the track. Especially during checkpoint placement.
Edit: I would also have to say that drivatar behaviour has actually greatly improved over FH4’s during custom route creation. Must be a de-bug fest as it was in FH4, even before route creation was introduced. Can’t be easy to program….at least it’s becoming more obvious to me over time.
McClaren 12c is a straight beast. Glad I tested it this week…so I don’t have to work on one for next week. Really sad I overlooked this one. It was fun to drive today. Also…that s1 cross country…either the drivatars are set to unbeatable or they are the most aggressive drivatars I have ever seen. My rs couldn’t do 200 mph around corners like them…and I was getting rammed violently in every race. Really kind of took the fun out of it.
Could’ve had a better time on Baja Scramble but started last on the grid and then was about to lap a teammate when he went completely sideways on a straight and I T-Boned him.
He was in a stock NSX-R GT so must have been struggling with RWD on dirt.
