STING LIKE A BEETLE FH5 TREASURE HUNT - NON VIDEO SOLUTION
Hey guys, it’s ya boy KnightOfRen8514 here again, before we get started, make sure to follow me on Instagram for more AWESOME CONTENT!!!
Now, let’s get into it.
To unlock the treasure, you need to get a trading paint skill in a '63 VW Beetle. However, the car you trade paint with has to be another VW Beetle. I would suggest the highway for this.
Now, before I tell you where the treasure is, we need to thank our sponsor: Nord VPN
VPN stands for “virtual private network.” It’s a service that gives you safe and private access to the internet. By encrypting your connection, a VPN hides your IP and online activity from spying eyes and keeps your data safe from cybercriminals.
Thanks to all kinds of nifty, cutting-edge technology, NordVPN keeps your devices malware free and your browsing safe from strangers’ eyes. How safe? It would take the world’s most powerful computer billions of years to unencrypt your data — that safe.

Now, let’s reveal where the treasure is. The chest is in the middle of a peninsula on the southwest end of the map, a bit left of the bridge.

There is no possible way they are doing B class modern rally on dirt again. I must be imagining it. Or it’s a typo.
Yeah, that’s it, what they mean is A class modern rally on dirt. Or maybe B class modern rally on street. Or literally anything else to show that they put in at least a little effort to provide variety and interest in this purposefully stifled in order to be dripfed racing endgame.
Another reminder of why I can’t be bothered doing the Open badges even though part of me would like to.
Chose S2 and just took the X5 FE in the hope that it’s XP bonuses apply to Open level, sat there over a minute in the map from the race finishing to getting to the loading screen, sat there well over another minute in that to get to the race, and then there’s a very good driver I know from the Rivals leaderboards using a CCGT.
How can anyone especially an excellent player not be bored of spamming meta after 20 months and counting? At least in FH4 you could understand somewhat if it was in Ranked, but what’s the point in this game’s online racing?
People like winning more than variety?
I had the same issue, but to add some extra pain, there was no traffic on the map until after I visited the Street Scene Festival site. Took me about four attempts for the hunt to register that I’d been trading pain all along.
That driver could easily do both though that’s my point, someone of lower ability using a CCGT in S2 Open is perfectly understandable, they want the car that will make up as much as possible for their lesser skill.
But a skilled player who could use pretty much any half decent car + tune in Open and would still beat most players in the game comfortably? I don’t get it, I mean I do but still it baffles me that people are still that adamant about winning this far into the game’s life when there’s nothing of value at stake.
In my opionion, if you can 3 star all the stunts on first try with a s1 865 hellcat dragtune, they are way to easy.
I thought the stories would remember your best star rating?
I got 3 on the Napier then retried thinking I could best my time and ended up with 2 stars even tho the leaderboard showed my best time good enough for 3.
#forzathings?
I guess it doesn’t count until you count it ? Good to know, but I don’t generally try to improve if I hit 3 Stars, good enough in my book ![]()
…especially on that stupid Napier run ! Ugh. I was tenths of seconds slow so many times. Speed testing ? With bicycle tires, on a sandy beach, crowded with junk, through a curve ? Yeah, I’m sure that’s how they set records and tested parachutes with it
But it made her happy, so, whatever…
I will say, nice bit of history on the parachute thing though. If only the stories had more of that and less whining about “…but how did he beat me ?” Character development ? I guess… if the goal is to make us not like them ![]()
My fave is when she says something like “cars had to be fast in the twenties” without giving a reason for it whatsoever.
I guess mentioning the factual, historical time period “prohibition” is a no-no for the “Everyone” sensibilities of MS. ![]()
Kinda like saying “The US really needed big rockets in the 60’s” without mentioning the space program.
Yea, a lot of that was vague. Love the skipping of the 50’s in general…
I probably shouldn’t have complained about being 10ths of seconds slow on the 3 Star requirement in the Napier…
…it could have been worse
…it might have been 1:10.001 ![]()
Next run felt slower but was almost a full second faster. No idea where or what was different. Sometimes, I think the game just wants me to do everything more than once.
for me the napier run, its the first time, that i put on automatic, and tcs on, and i went faster.
That makes sense with the Napier’s torque curve, as far as shifting goes.
Yeah first run my usual automatic assists off it was hunting between 2nd and 3rd most of the time. Almost decided to go manual just to pick a gear ! TCS fixed it though.
About bloody time that they bring in the '73 Falcon coupe. Been waiting ages for it to be available.
Looks like the Open objective is another one of those where custom racing doesn’t count, did that in the post further up in the thread and now I see it is still not completed.
Edit: And a 3rd reason not to bother with Open, was A Street and I got griefed by some pathetic loser after winning the first 2 races easily in the Z4 '08, tried taking the inside first and they clattered into me, I was 50-50 on whether it was griefing or just accidental but decided to be cautious and take the outside line in the next corner.
Playing in bumper cam I had no idea it was coming until I feel + see my car being pushed out by this guy’s XKR-S until I miss the checkpoint.
Same as with toxic players on FIFA I can only ask one simple question…
Would they do it if you were sat next to them?
Was going to say that Napier chapter could go pound sand. Finally squeaked under the 3 star target after turning on the traction and stability assists.
Wow, that Supra in the opening race understeers A LOT!
