You might need a completely clean car, without any owned upgrades. Try to buy a fresh new one, and see if that helps.
yes, still completely daft though!
big thk!
Yeah, this is another “fun” feature. It happens to me occasionally, usually after loading/fast travelling, both in freeroam, in races, and sometimes in rivals. Doing one or a couple of race events more usually make things breakable again. Or just restart the game as @GaymerGirl67 suggested.
I’m playing the Steam version of the game.
I wholeheartedly agree
as you suggested (and as I suspected anyway) that did indeed work; buy the car, PI 755, enter the race, game thinks it’s PI 756, worked fine
ridiculous
Yeah same experience earlier
Went with the rented car.

why they removed horizon story from playlist? how to get that accolade now?
Playing forza being like… disappointment after disappointment after disappointment…
Which accolade?
The accolades for the story are still available. You don’t need them to show up on the playlist.
And the reward car is right here for the taking.
Story starts here (northwest on the map)
It’s about this accolade “story star” in the festival playlist category. All players that joined in the last 1.5 years didn’t have a single chance to complete it. I was full of hope to finally get it done today just to see the story got removed from the playlist, so the accolade remains unattainable.
Ohhhh I see. I assumed it was the Horizon Origins specifically. Sorry. That’s very disheartening. This honestly now raises the question if they plan to exclude Story Completion tasks in any future playlists. I’m at a loss as to why they would even exclude it.
I gave up on the trial on the second event. Horribly undriveable cars in the wet. I quit and hoped the rest of my team could scrape themselves a win without me dragging them down
I will get my 40 points elsewhere this month
now that is odd, in particular with the extension of the game to playstation . . . this makes little sense
Wallriding in the monthly rivals challenge didnt result in the lap getting flagged?
So … my first lap in the A class Jaguar I-Pace monthly rivals at Arch went pretty good, so I worked at it a little bit and this is where the leaderboard currently stands.
I know that the previous time this monthy rivals was on, the winning time was a shade under 1:06 (so these times wont hold up) but its close enough that a little better here and there and its possible … so I chose the rival above me to see if there’s a different line being used somewhere.
And that #2 time is blatantly wallriding that first corner, gaining more than 0.5 seconds in the process.
Is it possible that the game didnt register those collisions with the wall just by sheer luck? I know that sometimes the game doesnt register wall collisions if they are light, but wallriding there is pretty rough. Even if the initial contact is light, the path along the wall isnt smooth.
So then I looked at the #1 time’s lap by #2’s fellow club member. The #1 time didnt wallride. But instead of wallriding, they took that first corner by banging the outside wall hard, which scrubbed off a ton of speed, and redirected sharply to accelerate through the turn. At the next right turn, they took a weird line and accelerated through the turn, uh, impressively.
I tried to replicate all of that. I wouldnt let a time I set like that stand … was just trying to see if it was possible to not get flagged or be able to accelerate the same way out of the second right. I was not able to replicate.
Is it possible that even though I couldnt replicate it, that hits of the wall that hard can still done gingerly enough to not get the lap flagged?
Regardless, Im not of the opinion that intentionally wallriding is cool or should stand.
Again, I dont expect the times to hold up … and I dont expect to be the one to end up on top, and Im cool with that as Im not super competitive. Wherever I legitimately shake out is cool with me. But its another Horizon “shake my head” situation.
When you can see flying levitating cars etc anything is possible I suppose. Not saying that’s what’s happening but I’ve seen cheaters and I’m sure you have too.
Hehe. Yeah I have most definitely seen sum stuff on leaderboards, a lot not subtle at all. Im sure this was covered in the “little things that annoy you about Horizon” thread, but it would be nice if someone that works for the game would actually go look at the leaderboards and get rid of obvious cheating … and also remove stuff that may or may not have happened without hacks or whatever but obviously flies in the face of what is supposed to be going on in rivals. Like wallriding. But, alas …
the only blatant cheating I’ve ever seen was in a games event in FH4 - VTOL car that flew directly upwards from standing if anyone went near it - very pleased that I infected the cheater anyway because I drove to where I thought it was going to land and it did he he
