I did do a test with a blueprint of the first track in the cross country championship with the same car, same tune, and same category, and also at highly skilled, and then i was in the lead after 35 %, and could win it quite easily.
In the championship event, i was nowhere near catching the leader throughout the whole race, so i would say that the difficulty is not set to highly skilled in many championships, because the AI is often alot faster in championships than in normal exhibition events sadly.
That happened to me on the first race of that championship(solo after realising co-op wasn’t the best idea) and I was curious to see what time the runaway ai had as I think I raced it quite well. However the ai realised that it had gone a bit mad and slowed to a crawl in the last 300m or so and let me win, it was coming off of the highway when I was barely halfway along it.
I have to disagree with limiting seasonal championships to just B, A and S1 class. We already very rarely get S2 championships on the main map and never S2 Trials anymore.
Kind of tells you what PG thinks of its communities driving skills.
More variety is what we need. Heck, throw in some X class championships.
People have been playing long enough to become comfortable with S2, or at least they would have if PG wasn’t so afraid to challenge the community like they occasionally did in the early days.
stock options, series 42 “Horizon Extreme”, week 3 winter/dry season
[loose basis for approach; cheapest car that’ll do the stunts, least-driven car for races]
weekly “Hooni Tuned” – Hoonigan Escort (Paso Inferior 122.83 mph)
trial “Ute the Best!” – Ford Ute ‘14 (dreadful car; beat 1 robot then 3 then “3” – my count was 4)
eventlab “Ranchero Norte Circuit” – Supervan 3 DME (different circuits always good)
eventlab “The-Gulch of Monument Valley” – Hyundai Kona '22 (good bit of work, this)
speed trap “East Resort” – Taycan S WP (a bit tricky; 215.40 mph)
speed zone “Green Hills” – LaFerrari (quite tricky; 183.78 mph)
trail blazer “Malpaís” – VW Corrado (not that hard; 20.118 s)
championship “Calm before the Storm” – Brabham BT62 (easy wins)
championship “Baja Blazers” – Bronco Raptor (easy wins)
treasure “Top of the World” – Exocet Off-Road (get high up on the volcano; hard work)
RA drift zone “Devil’s Pass” – Fairlady Z ‘94 (not too hard; 122,632)
RA championship “Monsters in the Night” – P. 911 Rallye (easy or very easy wins)
HW speed trap “Dragon’s Fall Speed Trap” – Bugatti Divo (easy; 285.93 mph)
HW championship “Hot n Cold” – 650S Spider (fairly easy or easy wins)
On the subject of quitting races I agree with this
If I’m causing the team to lose a race from a poor car choice or whatever (and they’ve raced properly of course and not just rammed everybody out of contention) then I’m happy to quit and let them get the win.
I just wish more of the idiots that sit at the back hoping to be dragged through and then lose us the event would realise that fact and quit too…
It’s a team game and that sometimes means taking a hit for the sake of the team.
That also applies to the other idiots that just ram their own team mates to try for first instead of settling for a lower place and getting the team win over insignificant glory - especially when it loses us the event.

I did a blueprint of the Carretera Chase street race featured in the S2 street racing championship this week, and when i finished ( i was in a S2 965 Porsche 935 ) 5 of the AI were running S2 998 tunes, so no wonder it was a struggle to keep up with them in the race.
Aren`t PI s supposed to be pretty evenly spead out across the field when doing races like this ?
Super-easy Trial, but I really didn’t enjoy driving that Ute. Chunky brick that can’t turn to save its life, especially on dirt. Really like the main map EventLab, great course design and scenery. The island one was interesting with all of the crazy overlapping alternate paths. I probably picked the least-efficient routes, but it was still fun. Honestly the hardest thing so far this week has been trying to get that stupid Exocet up to the top of the mountain. Just in case anyone didn’t know, the FE version of the car also counts, which is helpful because it has AWD.
I didnt do the seasonal championships but I see that one was an S2 998 extreme track toys street race championship. Ive been randomly working on my garage from Z to A and happened to put together an Ultima 1020 yesterday that I think I got pretty dialed in. It was a joy to drive on San Juan Sprint … #216 with a 01:17.327.
Its not the Brabham (which a strong contender for best S2 car) … or the Mosler for that matter … so its probably not the best choice, but if anyone wants to try it for the championship or just wants to check out a tune for an S2 Ultima, I shared it.

Im all for more variety in classes too. Id really like to see some D class championships, to be honest. I feel like most people could do with some driving of slower cars.
I was working on some tunes for next seasons B700 Pickups & 4x4’s championship and think I came up with a good Ram Power Wagon tune.
It’s not the one I’ll share for the championship, but I think it’s pretty good specifically for El Descenso rivals.
I managed to get to #142 on the leaderboard and I’m sure a good driver could get in the top 100.

With the last daily for this week, the Hummer is the obvious choice for that SC.
Good shout out. I had forgotten about that upcoming daily.
I’m a bit chuffed off that next seasons weekly Forzathon with the Nomad requires playing Hide & Seek.
I don’t have anything against the game mode, but it doesn’t really appeal to me.
Does Chuffed mean something different in your neck of the woods ?
Here it means pretty pleased…
I just looked up the definition of chuffed and indeed I used the wrong word. I always thought it had a negative connotation.
Well it does vary I suppose.
Well Chuffed is I’m happy with that whereas as Chuffed Off is pretty “annoyed” (for want of a better description that we can’t say ) so I guess you’re not that far off…
Have to agree on the Nomad though.
I can’t stand that car and in any H & S session the Nomad users always just always want to ram the other seekers instead of trying to get to the hider. Others are just as bad at times but the Nomads are just a nightmare to avoid at all costs. No idea why. Don’t recall them being part of the original seeker cars so they must have updated the car selections.
Edit - that’s weird. Just tried to start one to check the cars and it says I’m locked out of matchmaking for 5 mins. Maybe left it too long while typing the bit above…
PI values are sort-of spread out but the game ignores the number when it comes to PI, they just do what they do; could have PI 100 or 999, would make no difference
possible with the normal Exocet Off-Road but it’s hard work
yes, locked out if you finish a game without moving, happened to me once due to typing here, too! did not break streak, but after getting about half-way to 1000 I have given up on the mode, for the moment anyway
