That’s kind of a quirk of the GMC Jimmy. It will do that off of big jumps if you don’t get the suspension settings right.
Yeah its common problem on a bunch of courses with the Jimmy. Iirc they did try to fix way back when but not succesfully.
Really Devs? For the most part of this games life you have failed for whatever reason to have ai traffic in SC Street races. But no, lets annoy the bejesus out of everyone by including them in an S2 Extreme Track Toys SC.
There have been some seriously dumb moves by you guys.
This one takes the cake.
I mean really, ai traffic suddenly appear out of nowhere on bends, at night/dusk and that’s whilst you deal with AI that play bumper cars with each other and knock you out of checkpoints.
Dumb, really, really, dumb.
5 times now in the first race I’ve encountered ai traffic basically on the finish line. 5 times I’ve been knocked out of the checkpoint. Arrrggghhhh
Why don’t you just hog tie me and re-enact the scene out of Deliverance whilst your at it.
As far as I’m aware traffic exists on all street races except The Trial
A lot of Seasonals haven’t had them. Normal Street races yes, not the vast majority of Seasonals.
The whole setup for this one in particular made it frustrating not just for me but the other players as well.
Glad I’m done. I feel sorry for the average player, this is going to be a controller throwing moment for a few of them.
You may be correct though and i probably haven’t noticed or registered it whilst racing. The traffic in this one was overkill at some points.
Yeah I think there’s been bugs with no traffic a few times though they should be in Seasonals but afaik PGG deliberately removed them from Trials for reasons
Interesting. I had that happen a while back in a different car and just assumed it was a one-off glitch as I’d never seen it again until today. I guess I need to find a better tune.
Adding traffic back in street races was a fix in a recent update. Like CuriousGirl said they’ve intentionally excluded traffic from the Trial.
Running the SC solo has the regular amount of traffic. Running it in coop seems to have a lot more. That’s been my experience at least. It’s entertaining in the lower classes.
The Ford #11 F-150 Trophy Truck has a similar issue with its suspension.
I don’t think it will sink into the ground, but the suspension can visibly collapse making it very difficult to turn.
complete set of add-ons now on sale, but it’s all of them and I Microsoft don’t do anything like a rebate on stuff you already own (I think I have about four licenses for Forza Horizon 3 bought in various sales)
not sure if related by Hyundai Kona '22 can fall through the ground on the island eventlab
Straightforward, the AI were actually helpful for once in a Trial, all of them bunched up on the inside of Cordillera’s 1st corner so made a nice buffer to safely get around and avoid any potential carnage.
Team was 4 good players and 2 who were so awful they simply can’t have been trying, the good stock Ute user showed it’s capable enough, I lapped the last placed one of the other two on Mulegé and they tried blocking me from doing so ![]()
May sound like I’m being harsh but nobody making the tiniest effort would be here on Cordillera at this point…
Said it enough times on here in the past I don’t think players like this should be rewarded anything even if the team wins, teams that win with players like these win despite them, not with.
Personally I don’t have a problem with the odd player who’s unable joining a Trial and hoping they get carried. Maybe that’s because I was once such a player
I have bigger issues with people joining who deliberately go out of there way to ram and block in attempts to make the team lose. Just my opinion
Sure, but when they see that the team isn’t doing well and is going to lose because of their presence, yet don’t quit, I have a problem with it.
I had that this week. 4 people who showed up in stock vehicles, and only 1 of them could actually drive it. Somehow we got the 3rd race after losing the first two, and most quit by that point, and somehow the 3rd race win got me the championship.
Yes. I think that’s why I phrased it as “the odd player” as too many of them can cause issues and make the team lose, even with some decent players in there
one of the regular posters here wrote something about stopping in the third race of a trial if the others weren’t doing well, happened this time; first race I did pretty badly (it IS a rubbish car when stock), beat just 1 robot, second race I beat 3, this player was first in both I think - in the 3rd race they just stopped
it worked out, though, the bad players actually did leave the race, leaving me and one other (other than this “stopper”) but I think that when it became clear we were actually trying and doing okay the “stopper” put pedal to metal and overtook both of us
I beat 4 in the third race but AGAIN the game counted fewer than me; it wasn’t even close - this is happening in one race every week at the moment
My take on it is that i usually quit if my choice of car and tune is unworkable for the given event or if my quitting is not going to affect the outcome due to others occupying the top positions.
I had one player msg me and whine on about quitting.
It was Hot Wheels DLC, only the 2 of us and i had already completed the SC so i was doing it to test a couple cars. Apart from banging me into the sidewall on a couple of occasions, they ended up in first place so my quitting was not going to affect anything. I was never going to take the race out with the car and tune i had compared to the other player i might add.
Thing is there is usually a reason, not all race quitting is rage quitting as the player i dealt with assumed.
Overall i tend to stick it out, not always though.
As a porshe fanboi I will love to get more porshe seasonal events in the game. Or even BMW would go. Actually I didn’t completed any one of them because I just don’t like any one in these.
Gave up on that championship. 2 or 3 lead ai cars fly away doing mach 4, the rest is blocking you, ramming you, overtaking you all over the place, all while you struggle to see the track, because of the light conditions on some tracks makes some camera angles super dark.
Then did an exhibition race on the Mexico circuit with the same car and tune and won easily, so it is clear that the difficulty goes way up in certain championships on certain tracks, probably set to expert or unbeatable, despite saying highly skilled.
No more S2 998 street racing and C600 Cross Country championships please, B700 should be a minimum for Cross country so we can do some really good race winning tunes, instead of being stuck with midfield tunes with no power, or lots of power but no grip
yes, I tend to quit if I’m going nowhere at all with it and it’s not going to hurt; in those Trial races I was pretty confident of improving, which I did, compared with the Extreme E last week which was never going to catch the fast ones so I gave up (apologies again to the player right behind me when I hit the menu button)
