They only fix and remove things that benefit the players everything else gets left.

Yeah, wilfully worsening the player experience is bad enough but what I really can’t stand is this use of transpicuous marketing speech as it’s a form of dishonesty and taking the player for a fool. This was never an “issue” and neither was the the fact that you could grind skill points to unlock WSs and SWSs in the skill trees an “exploit”.

Ditto that.
Last series the drift story was in monthly also. It was worth 3 points. So the new logic would have made fractions had it been implemented last series. I don’t understand the reason for the change. Monthly rivals doesn’t seem worth it.

For the speed trap I used a 2008 Impreza tune 708 173 131. I approached from the western dirt road. 
No tune is necessary. I used the S209 and used the tarmac road from the west and cut the last bit through the desert to the speed trap. Setting a waypoint on the speed trap helps to aim for the right spot

I was already driving that way from Buenas Vistas and up to speed, but it absolutely makes sense to use that tarmac road from the Decansor Dorado Sprint I was execting it to be a more difficult challenge from the comments.
You can come from SW too with good tune. Just completely ignore roads
A treasure hunt tip, to be buried among the rubbish of a megathread. Read it before it’s covered too deep to find:
Take the FE Trans Am. Go to the Boardwalk danger sign jump there. Use the good old reliable rewind if you like. After you get the treasure chest clue, on the last jump, turn left and head to the wooden shack at the end of the bridge just left of the danger sign. The treasure chest is just down the bank from the shack.
Sorry if this is already in the megathread but I wasn’t going spend half a day reading through just to try and find out. If this gets buried and someone wants to bump it please feel free to copy and paste.

Is there a new update? I just launched the game and its stuck at the loading screen saying “INSTALLING… PLEASE WAIT 99%” It’s been like that for at least 5 mins. now
yeah -it’s a big update - almost 8 GB…
Ok, then I’ll keep waiting
Not sure why it’s so big though - not much has changed…
Still getting the usual disconnections and long pauses in menus.

Well, I guess, if it fixes something… I better turn the interwebs on and open the pipe.
It’s still installing…? I checked if the game was installing in “Manage games” in the Xbox menu but nothing appears there. I already played the game today and finished what I could in the seasonal challenges. I have claimed the SVT Lightning. I did not get the update then and they released it a couple days ago
…ok, no update here. Are you talking about the usual Series update that dropped earlier this week ? Or something new that just hasn’t rolled out completely yet ? Unless it downloaded in the background earlier while I was YouTubing after Forza ?

I quit the game and checked which version was installed which was the latest one. I booted it again and it loaded fine. No idea what happened
