Ferrari FXX K vs Ford GT vs La Ferrari

With the release of the Top Gear pack I was really excited about the FXX K but sadly the car is useless because of the very limited upgrades. In P class its not competitive so I decided to downgraded the car to R class and tested it.

The cars I selected to test it against, La Ferrari and the Ford GT and the tracks Old Mulsanne, Sebring and Watkins Glen Alt.

The ford GT had the least power at 888 HP but lighter at 2519 LBS.

The FXX K had the most power at 1036 HP but higher weight at 2900 LBS.

The La Ferrari had 963 HP and the heaviest at 3029.

On the Old Mulsanne the Ford GT was the quickest with a time of 3:27.500, the FXX K 3:34.630 and the La Ferrari 3:35.229. So the Ford was between 7-8 seconds quicker than the Ferraris.

On Sebring the Ford was again quicker than the Ferraris with 1:58.649, the La Ferrari with 2:01.193 and the FXX K 2:01.953. So the Ford is between 3-4 seconds quicker.

On Watkins Glen Alt the Ford was again quicker than the Ferraris with a 1:42.200, the La Ferrari with 1:43.019 and the FXX K 1:42.900. So between a half and 1 second quicker than the Ferraris.

For me the results are disappointing as the FXX K is either a little slower or faster than the La Ferrari and a lot slower than the Ford GT.

In my opinion the FXX K will join the One:1 beautiful to look at but useless to race.

If you feel like doing a similar test please post the results below it would be interesting to see other lap times.

I been testing the One:1 vs Fxxk and found fxxk is alot faster on grip tracks and about even on power tracks. This stocks vs stock

As stock car they are quite fun but they are only useful in free play. To play in multiplayer the one:1 can’t compete in P class and the FXX K can’t compete in R and P class.

I like both cars but I don’t see the point in limiting the upgrades.

I don’t play the high classes and not competitive there. So I had fun in Rivals try run the fastest stock 930 car in that division. It’s actually the only way I found to make these cars useful.

Yeah ive tested both the One and FXXK together as well and they are close. I got 3:35 on old mulsanne with the fxxk and 3:37 with the One. I’ve tested on 3 other tracks so far and on average its usually about 2-3 second spread so not bad. We need a couple more cars around their level of performance though like the p1 GTR and maybe an Aston Martin vulcan could squeeze a low P class rating.

I was testing upgraded hypercar to P926 to test against the ONE:1 and fxxk, and w r e closes. The Ultima was faster than ONE:1 on power tracks by a second.

Naturally, the Ford will be fastest - it most likely has race tires, weight reduction, and additional horsepower. Even an upgraded Pagani Cinque will be plenty faster due to those sorts of upgrades - in testing my Cinque lapped Catalunya GP up to 4 seconds faster than the one:1, and two faster than the FXX K, at 1:42.xxx. The one:1 just doesn’t have the grip to outpace the FXX K - that of which I’ve managed to use to keep pace with a friend using a 787B. The car is very capable of keeping on all but the fastest of Le Mans prototypes, and that is saying a lot.

What track was this?

The FXX K is 5-10 seconds slower than even the slowest prototypes on the tracks i’ve raced it on.

Circuit De Catalunya, Grand Prix ribbon.

The OPs comparison on the one hand is not apples and apples but on the other hand not surprising.

The FXX K is on drag tyres I assume and therefore has a grip disadvantage there.

But also the Forza PI model always favours lighter weight. If all other stats are equal the lighter car is almost always quicker on most tracks.

I’m sad that the FXX K is useless just like the One:1. Doesn’t have too many upgrades so downgrade to drag tires and try R.
Not even that works. It can still be somewhat competitive but there are better options
Also we need a Formula E only league.

Well, I don’t care much for the lap times or car class competitiveness, but the FXX is a beautiful Ferrari to drive; I’d pick it over the other two in a heartbeat - it just sounds gorgeous. Menacing and snarly like a V12 Ferrari does - unlike the LaF in the game.

BTW, you’re referring to the 2016 Ford GT? How is that car comparable to the FXX? The handling and general performance on the latter is in a class of its own.

Don’t class me as being rude but what was the point of your post? The point of the tread is lap times and competitiveness which you’ve said you don’t care much for.

The Ferrari FXX K is a beautiful car and it sounds good but as a car in a racing game its a little pointless.

using Raceboy’s R900 tune the FXXK at Le Mans La Sarthe is fairly competitive, it’s 2 seconds off my Zonda R900 time, and I reckon I can beat it with the right lap, as the FXXk is a little twitchy to handle compared to the Zonda, but I reckon it’s possible.

I don’t believe this…

People complaining about a car like the Ferrari FXX being pointless in a game like FORZA?

Boy… now I’ve seen it all. Guess we should just stick to vans, limos, SUVs and jeeps.

Goes to show people will just never be happy no matter what the devs do.

You have made two posts in this thread and both post show A) You didn’t read the thread or B) You don’t understand. So I’ll try to make it easier.

I’m not complaining about the FXX K I’m highlighting that with the lack of tuning options its not competitive in R and P class.

Hopefully now its clear.

i think he’s meaning its pointless as in its a low P class so its not competitive in the P class range.

I love the car, ok handling not ideal, but it’s a great looking car and it’s a car i’ve been waiting to come out, but I think it would of been best released as a R class car. Although my previous post shows it can be downgraded to an R class.

I like the car I think its fun, it just doesn’t have a class for racing in.

I tried the the FXX against the Agera on Le Mans full. on R class i’m nearly 10 seconds quicker in the Agera. The main reason being you can remove the aero on the Agera.

Going to try it on the Nurburgring full and see how it holds up.

this is why I really miss the R3-R2-R1 classification system from Forza 4. I’m not saying we need to revert to that, but a small class in between R and P would give these hypercars a place to shine, without having to compete with the prototypes.

Agreed. For Forza 7 i think turn10 should revert to their old school R1, R2, and R3 classes along with maybe even a p1 and p2 class to seperate prototypes and lmp cars.
