Ferrari FXX K disappoints! This is one of the featured loading screen cars, yet its a lot slower than the Forza 6 version. Yes I’ll get over it, but i’d care to know the reason… with the older La Ferrari the fastest one, Lamborgini becomes the first choice in this game… but maybe that was the intention when nerfing Ferrari not impressed turn 10 / PG !
The FXXK is slower then what it was in FM6 but it is still faster then the normal LaFerrari in Horizon 3.

Are you sure EpicEvan777? FXX K has speed 7.9 which translates to 337.4 km/h in tuning menu. I dont own the Laferrari yet but it got to be faster , got speed 9.6 in autoshow…

Top speed wise yes the LaFerrari is faster but I thought that was the same in real life. I’m probably wrong but I think the LaFerrari is faster in top speed due to the FXXK’s aerodynamics? Round a track though, the LaFerrari is slower in-game.
At the time of this post, the #1 leaderboard time for the first Surfers Paradise S2 Rivals leaderboard was done in a Veneno. What are you looking for? Rockets? Flux capacitors? I don’t get it.
Both the FXX K and Veneno are high downforce cars. They were made to post low lap times, not break land speed records. They are basically a La Ferrari and an Aventador with crazy aero packages that create downforce. That means slower top speed, better cornering … and because of that, they are two of the absolute best S2 class cars.
Try the 10 million dollar Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale, I finally saved up for it and got it for 8m on the auction. Looked at the upgrades… It comes with an older 8cyl you can upgrade, but just barely so (like 490hp.) Ok cool though! So we know it has room for a V8 lets see what engine options I have available for the mid engined racer with a giant engine bay… One option only a Turbo I4 with restrictor plates as its only upgrades. Uh… wow. But hey go ahead and stuff a Lambo V12 in your Dodge Dart cause that’s legit when all the game says I can fit into my mid-engine racecar engine bay is an I4 despite the car having an 8cyl to begin with.
Oh well, it’s a beautiful car. I’m keeping it to fill out my collection, but it’s very sad to get these cars and realize they’re basically garage queens to take on a sunday stroll and show you have 10m credits. I’m still tweaking it hoping I can get it to turn out some middle of the pack Class A drag times, it’s so pretty I want it to be half decent
Well if you try it for more than drag it’s probably more than a garage queen. Odds are it’s probably really good on various p2p or circuit layouts depending on build.
Yeah I hope so. I’m sort of starting with drag builds of everything and putting their times/stats in a google spreadsheet, it’s helped me learn a lot about tuning, power to weight, drivetrain, gearing, etc. Once I’ve drag tuned everything (or get completely bored of that.) I plan to revisit each car and then make a rally or circuit (pavement) tune, not sure which to start with first. But your point is taken, and it’s exactly why I keep every car even if it doesn’t put down great 1 mile drag times – I can’t completely discount it until I try it out in all the other scenarios.
For future reference, is there a good circuit or rally race in the rivals section that people use to benchmark their tunes?
^What above said. They are track cars, not drag racers.
Also don’t say that the stats aren’t right if you plan on pulling claims from magazine articles and “FerrariFFXKisNumeroUno” websites. I still vividly remember that thread with “Mclaren #1 fan” complaining that his precious P1 could be beat.
I’d say it’s an excellent car, I’ve managed to get sub #10 leaderboard times with the FXX K, the speed is realistic (seems to top out about 190mph) and the handling is amazing, the only car I’ve seen that can handle as good if not better is the nismo GTR race car.
And it sounds fantastic through the rev range, depends on your driving style if you just want sheer power and speed then the One:1 or the Centenario is the best option.
All the track cars in the Forza series aren’t as fast as they should be or as fast as their real life counter parts. The WTCC Civic and Cruze are way quicker than the likes of the P1, 918 and the like. The GTE/GT3 cars should be way ahead of the Super cars not rated lower, and the Stockcars, Group Cs and 90s F1 aren’t faster than the other race cars the game would have you believe.
